New ATMs a vital Link

Link Credit Union LTD recently installed ATM machines at its offices in Kingscourt and Bailieborough. They are located at the front of the offices to ensure that the whole community will have convenient access to cash withdrawals, 24 hours a day.

The machines will be run and operated by ‘Point Cash by Brink’s’ and will accept cards from any financial services provider, including Link Credit Union’s own Current Account Mastercard.

Speaking about the initiative, Link Credit Union’s chairperson Ian Primrose said: “The installation of the new ATMs in both Bailieborough and Kingscourt are a timely and much-needed addition to the services of Link Credit Union offices. The removal of ATMs by other larger financial institutions has had a significant and detrimental impact on the people and businesses in the communities that we serve.”

He added that ATMs and convenient access to cash withdrawals continue to play a “pivotal role in the successes and vibrancy” of the local retail environment.

Link Credit Union’s CEO Angela Rice states: “The core of what we do in Link Credit Union is to provide a community financial service in our area. Although many services and retailers are now accepting card payments, there is still a large requirement for cash and we are glad to be able to provide an ATM machine in both towns. We understand that it’s the little things that make the difference.”

Ms Rice went on to say: “We have been working in the background to bring these services to both towns and are delighted to be able to provide essential services in our communities. In Kingscourt our ATM will be the only ATM service available in the town. This aligns clearly with our vision supporting our members 24/7 to meet their ever-changing financial needs.”

In addition to the new ATM machines and competitive loan interest rates, Link Credit Union also offer a current account with Mastercard debit card, which it says is the most competitively priced current account in the market, with a monthly charge of €4.
