Michael Sheridan

Michael Sheridan “St. Martin's", Drumalee, Cavan, and formerly Urney, Ballinagh. August 3rd 2022, peacefully in the loving care of his family and the dedicated staff at St. Joseph’s, Lisdarn. Beloved husband and best friend of the late Rita (nee Sexton) and devoted father of Cathal and Brigitta.

Funeral arrangements will be published later.

Nora Connolly (née Tully)

Drumullen, Farnham, Cavan

Nora Connolly (nee Tully) Drumullen, Farnham, Cavan. Wednesday August 3rd 2022 peacefully in the loving care of her Family and the staff at Medical 1 Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her brothers Pat and Michael and sister Mary Thornton. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Tommy Connolly and devoted mother of Margaret (George) Martin (Gyorgui) Thomas (Jasmine) and James (Bernie). Nora will be very sadly missed by her loving family, her adored grandchildren Declan, George Jnr., Jennifer and Saragh, brothers John (Bunnoe, Co. Cavan) and Peter (England), sisters Bridget (Canada) and Kathleen Smith, Loughduff, Co. Cavan, sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, nieces, all her relatives and many friends.

May she rest in peace.

Nora will repose at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan H12C821 on Friday evening from 6pm, concluding with prayers at 8pm. Walk through only with no handshakes and masks are advisable for your own protection. Nora’s remains will leave her home in Drumullen on Saturday at 11.30am and travelling to St. Patrick’s Church, Drumcor arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial after Mass in the family plot in the adjoining cemetery. House private to Family and neighbours on Saturday morning, please.

The Connolly family would like to thank each of you for your consideration, co-operation and understanding at this sad time for them.

John Joe McGuire

Essex, England, Kilcogy, Cavan

John Joe McGuire, Benfleet, Essex, England and late Callanagh, Kilcogy, Co. Cavan. July 21st. 2022 peacefully in Essex. Predeceased by his Mam and Dad Jane and Pat and his brother Tony. Sadly missed by his children Jane, Conor and Jamzie and dearly missed by Caroline, his extended family and friends in New York, Essex and Cavan.

May he rest in peace.

Removal from Reilly's Funeral Home, Kilcogy Village, on Saturday morning at 11.15am arriving Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Mullahoran for 12 noon Funeral Mass. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Mullantimore, Tydavnet, Monaghan / Blessington, Wicklow

The death has occurred of Jim Balfe, Mullantimore, Tydavnet, Co.Monaghan, H18 CP27 and formerly Blessington, Co.Wicklow. Retired member of An Garda Siochana. Tuesday, 2nd August, suddenly at the Mater Private.

Predeceased by his father Walter, mother Kathy, sisters Margie, Bridie and Angela. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife Anne, children Deirdre, Kevin, Anne-Marie, Caitriona, Francis, Lorraine & David, daughters-in-law Catherine & Cathy, sons-in-law Paul, Shaun & Tony, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, extended family and friends.

The death has occurred of Tracey Collins, Lisnagrieve, Creighanroe, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan. Predeceased by her Parents Philip and Kathleen Collins. Deeply regretted by her sisters Orla McBennett, Paula McKenna and her brother Adrian Collins, brothers in law John McKenna, Peter McBennett and sister in law Siobhan Collins, her niece and nephews - Marc, Luke, Lauren, Tommy & Ryan.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace.

A private cremation has taken place at 3pm on Wednesday, 3rd August, in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan, in the presence of Tracey's family.

The death has occurred of Gerald Farmer, 11 Lakeview, Emyvale, Co. Monaghan. Monday, 1st August, suddenly at his residence.

Pre-deceased by his Father Pat & Mother Lizzie. Gerald will be lovingly remembered by his wife Farona, children Donna, Mark, Tanya & Cathy, son in law James and grandchildren Alex, Jake & Shea. Sadly missed by his brothers Sean, Eamon & Kieran, sisters Margaret Crampton & Patricia McVicar, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
