Hazardous waste event this month
A hazardous waste drop off day is to be held later this month by the local County Council.
The Cavan local authority has organised the event as part of its Anti-Dumping Initiative for 2022.
Taking place at the Corranure Civic Amenity site, locals will be able to bring the likes of household paints, pesticides, waste oils, oil filters, antifreeze, auto batteries and medicinal waste.
It's taking place on Saturday, August 20 from 8am-12.30pm.
A €5 charge will apply to cars, vans and trailers, with normal charges applying for other drop offs.
