Desmond McCann

Drummoy, Belturbet, Cavan

Desmond (Dessie) McCann, Drummoy, Belturbet, Co. Cavan, Sunday, 21st August 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Suddenly, after a short illness, at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Sarah, son Padraig, brothers Sean, Frank and Tony. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family, his wife Mary, daughters Paula, Yvonne and Aideen, son Graham, brothers Seamus and Fintan, sister Marie, son-in-laws David and Michael, grandchildren Oran, Mikie, Ella, Finn and Daithi, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Remains will be reposing at his residence this Tuesday evening from 5pm until 9pm and again on Wednesday evening from 6pm until 8pm with removal on Thursday morning 25th August at 11.30am to arrive at St Patrick's Church Drumalee for 12 noon funeral mass with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to Monaghan rehabilitation unit c/o Mark Lawlor Undertakers.

McCann Water Well Drilling will be closed until Monday, August 29.

Frank Nulty

Drumfomina, New Inns, Ballyjamesduff, Cavan

The death has occurred of Frank on August 19, tragically, following an accident. Predeceased by his parents John and Agnes. deeply regretted his sister Geraldine Pritchard, Mountain Lodge, brother Tommy New York, niece Ashling, nephews Michael, Gavin and Kevin, grandnephews, grandnieces, extended family and a wide circle of friends and colleagues of Kyte Powertech.

Reposing at Matthew's funeral home on Monday, August 22, from 5-8pm. Funeral tomorrow, Tuesday, at 11am in St.Mary's Church, Clonaphilip with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private, please.

Jimmy (Simon) Reilly

Kilcogy, Cavan / Granard, Longford

Jimmy passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday 21st August surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his brother Joe. Jimmy will be sadly missed by his devoted wife Mary, sons Jim (Aileen), David (Clodagh), and Joseph (Grace), daughters Rosie and Eilish (Mike), his siblings Alice and Barry, brothers and sisters in law, his grandchildren who he adored, nieces, nephews, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing in Reilly's Funeral Home, Kilcogy (N39 W1D6) on Tuesday 23rd from 5pm with prayers at 8pm. Removal from his home on Wednesday morning arriving to Our Lady of Lourdes Church Mullahoran for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Kathleen Ismay (nee O'Reilly) Urcher, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan, died 21st August 2022, in her 100th year, peacefully, at Fairlawns Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob). Deeply regretted by her son Joe O'Reilly (Dromore), daughter in law Carmel, grandchildren Sean (Edel), Brendan (Caroline), Pauline (Carl), James (Joan), great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of Philip (Phil) Markey, Navangate, Trim, Co. Meath and formerly Drumeva, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan, 20th August 2022, peacefully, at Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan, after a short illness. Philip is predeceased by his beloved wife Nellie (nee O'Brien). Sadly missed by his brother Jimmy (Cavan), sister-in-law Gertie, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Laurence (Lal) Shekleton, Mount Saint Joseph’s, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan has passed away surrounded by his family and in the loving care of the staff of Kilmainhamwood Nursing Home, 21st August 2022.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Maureen and his parents Edward and Margaret. Deeply regretted by his daughters Bernie (Maguire), Susan (Rooney) & Helen (Byrne), his sons Laurence, Michael, Declan and Mark, sons-in-law Jimmy Maguire, Peter Rooney, Sean Byrne, daughters-in-law Sheila, Nuala, Geraldine and Tracie.
