Cloudy and wet with heavy showers

Saturday night will turn very wet

Saturday will be cloudy and wet in the north and east, with rain slowly clearing northeastwards through the afternoon.

Scattered heavy showers will pass through at times, some potentially with thunder.

Cooler tomorrow with highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees with a moderate south to southeast breeze, says Met Eireann.

Saturday night will turn very wet and potentially quite windy also.

“Clear spells and scattered showers at first, but rain accompanied by strengthening winds will sweep northwards over the country.”

The rain will also bring a possibility of some localised flooding, and the potential for strong winds for a short period.

Lowest temperatures of 7 to 12 degrees.
