Thomas (Tommy) Smith peacefully on the 8th of September 2022.

Brigid (Bridie) Brennan (née Lynch)

St. Mary's Park, Navan, Meath / Virginia, Cavan

Peacefully at home, at the age of 101.

Formerly Carrigabruise, Virginia, Co. Cavan.

Predeceased by her husband Paddy, daughter Anne, parents Patrick and Susan, brothers and sisters.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Padraig (U.S.A), daughters Margaret, Sheila, Bridie, Maura, Catherine, Eleanor, Yvonne, Susan and Dorothy, 33 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, daughter in law, sons in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

May Bridie Rest in Peace.

Reposing at her residence on Friday from 2pm to 8pm. Removal Saturday morning at 9.15am to arrive at St Oliver’s Church, Navan, for 10am Funeral Mass which can viewed on https://youtube.com/c/JoeFinnegan. Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery.

Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Meath Palliative Care.

Sean Fitzpatrick

4 Highfield Road, Cavan Town, Cavan

Sean Fitzpatrick, 4 Highfield Road, Cavan, September 7th 2022, peacefully in the loving care of his family and staff at Virginia Primary Health Centre. Predeceased by his loving wife Agnes (nee Mc Govern), his son John and his brother Eugene. Sean will be very sadly missed by his children Padraig, Marie, Eugene and Doris, his daughters in law Loraine and Gránia, son in law Pat, grandchildren Seán, Oisín, Aisling, Rahel, Ella and James, his good friend Mervyn and his many friends and good neighbours in Highfield Road.

May he Rest In Peace.

Sean will repose at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan (H12C821) on Friday from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Removal from the Funeral Home on Saturday morning at 10.20am, travelling via Highfield Road and Wolfe Tone St. to St. Brigid's Church, Killygarry arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial will take place after Mass to the family plot in the adjoining cemetery.

As Covid 19 is still with us, we would ask that people be mindful of that and take care of each other and the family. You are requested by the family to leave your messages and condolences in the section at the bottom of the page please. The family would like to thank each of you for your cooperation, understanding and support at this difficult time

Martin (Pops) Grogan

Drogheda, Louth / Cavan Town, Cavan

Martin “Pops” Grogan, Cavan Town and formerly of Marian Park, Drogheda 6th September 2022. Unexpectedly, at Cavan General Hospital. Martin “Pops”, predeceased by his parents Malachy and Mary, infant brother Malachy and brother Mal. Sadly missed by his loving sons Christopher, Emmet, Seaní and Jimi, granddaughter Sadbh, brothers Barry and Mark, sisters Marie, June, Valerie, Anne, Fiona and Lorraine, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, extended family and many friends from near and far.

May He Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Townley’s Funeral Home, Crosslanes, Drogheda (A92XN75), from 5pm until 8pm on Friday evening. A celebration of Martin’s life will take place in the Funeral Home on Saturday morning at 11.30am. Martin’s funeral cortege will then drive to Mary’s Street, before proceeding on foot to Calvary Cemetery for burial.

Frances Keenan (née Kellet)

Glebe, Inniskeen, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Frances Keenan (née Kellet), Glebe, Inniskeen, Co. Monaghan, peacefully, in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of Oliver. Much loved and cherished mother of Eamonn, Patrick, Dessie and Catherine and predeceased by son Frank. Sadly missed by sisters Eileen, Maureen, Ailish, brother Enda and predeceased by brothers Noel, Paddy and Thomas. Deeply regretted by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, daughters-in-law, relatives and many friends.

Reposing at her family home, Glebe, Inniskeen, Co. Monaghan, from 6pm Thursday, the 8th of September, until removal Saturday, the 10th of September, at 10.30am to the Church of Mary Mother of Mercy, Inniskeen, arriving for 11am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St. Mary's Cemetery, Inniskeen.
