It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past 24 hours, as reported on RIP.ie

Mark Cullen

Knocknagartan, Virginia, Cavan / Dublin

Mark passed away peacefully at home, in the care of all his family on September 11th, 2022. He is predeceased by his grandads and grandmother.

Mark will be always remembered with love by his beloved family, mother Karen, brothers Daragh, Karl, Daniel and Gerard, sisters Leigha, Jade and Amanda, grandmother, brothers-in-law Joe and Rob, sister-in-law Karen, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and great friends.

You were always someone special,

Someone kind and true,

Who will never be forgotten,

For we thought the world of you.

Farewell till we meet again Mark.

Mark will repose in the family home on Tuesday 13th from 2pm until 8pm.

Removal from his home on Wednesday 14th at 11am to Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Rd, Cavan, for a Celebration Service of Mark's life at 12 o'clock.

Please note: Family request everyone must wear bright clothes.

Mark's family wish to express their thanks, to all who cared for Mark over the years, his doctors, nurses, night nurses, the Palliative Care Team and all who helped in any way.

Elizabeth (Lily) Lynch (née Murphy)

Cavan Town, Cavan / Malahide, Dublin

Elizabeth (Lily) Lynch (neé Murphy) Esker Lodge Nursing Home and formerly of Malahide, Co. Dublin. Sunday 11 September 2022 peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff in Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Christopher and loving mother of Paul, Aishling and Linda. Deeply regretted by her loving son, daughters, daughter in law Rachel, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, tomorrow, Tuesday, from 5.00pm until 6.30pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 10.30am to the Cathedral of SS Patrick and Felim, Cavan to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11.00am, interment afterwards in Fingal Cemetery, Dublin at 1.45pm. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to the Cavan branch of the Alzheimer's Society.

May she rest in peace.

Patricia McGovern (née McDermott)

Willesden, London &, Swanlinbar, Cavan

Formerly Barnacogue, Swinford, Co. Mayo. Patricia will be sadly missed by her husband Joe, daughter Jenny, son Shane, Jenny's husband Woody, Shane's partner Yvonne, brothers and sisters Padraig, Mary, Teresa, Chris & Tony, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives & friends.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Funeral Mass and burial will take place in Corlough Co. Cavan, details to be announced later.

Monica McConnon (née Callan)

8 Highfield Close, Monaghan Town, Monaghan

Predeceased by her loving husband Sean. Dearly missed by her loving children Veronica, Caroline, Dessie and Adrian, sons-in-law Bernard and Hugh and daughter-in-law Paula and her loving grandchildren, sister Cassie Gillespie (Enfield), brother Eamon Callan (Oregon), sisters in law Lygora Callan, Bridie McCleary and Margaret McPhillips, brothers in law Pat Joe McConnon, Seamus McConnon and Seamus Mooney, the wider family circle and friends.

Remains arriving in St. Macartan's Cathedral at 7pm on Wednesday, 14th September. Requiem Mass at 1 pm on Thursday, 15th September, in St. Macartan's Cathedral followed by Burial afterwards in Latlurcan New Graveyard. House strictly private please. Donations in lieu of flowers to Crocus Cancer Care Monaghan C/O David Maxwell Funeral Director.
