Architect sought for St Anne NS extension

The Department of Education and Board of Management at St Anne's National School in Bailieborough are seeking to appoint an architectural team to oversee a major extension project to current facilities.

The proposed extension, sanctioned in July, will include six new mainstream classrooms including toilets (480 m2), one Special Education Teaching (SET) room (15 m2) and three Special Education Needs (SEN) rooms (453.0 m2), and a universal toilet (4.5 m2). Other developments include a secure play area, sensory garden, and parking. Two prefabs will be demolished to make way for the planned extension.

Tenders to appoint architectural services were issued last week, October 6, with a deadline for submissions early next month.

St Anne’s NS is a voluntary primary school under the trusteeship of the Archbishop of Armagh.
