It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past 24 hours, as reported on RIP.ie

Eillen Barber (née O'Neill)

Kilcogy Village, Kilcogy, Cavan / Longford

Eillen died peacefully on Wednesday the 19th October 2022 at the Regional Hosoital Mullingar, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her father Eddie and sister Rosie.

Sadly missed by her loving family daughter Andrea (Jimmy) son Michael (Noleen) her mother Margaret sister Jackie, grandchildren Hannah, Liam, Lorna, Sophie and Connor, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and a large circle of friends.

May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Reilly's Funeral Home Kilcogy Village(N39W1D6) on Friday evening from 6 pm. until 8pm.

Removal on Saturday from the Funeral Home arriving Lakelands Crematorium Cavan for cremation at 1 o'clock.

No flowers please. Donations in lieu to the Palliative care unit, The Regional Hospital,Mullingar c/o The undertaker or any family member.

Anna Rose Kellett

Main Street, Virginia, Cavan

The death has occurred of Anna Rose Kellett, Main Street, Virginia, Co. Cavan. Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital.

Predeceased by her brothers Saul, Paddy, Charlie, Eugene and sister Maura. Sadly missed by her sister Kathleen, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Her remains will leave O’Dwyers Funeral Home, Ryefield, Virginia this Saturday morning and will travel via her residence on Main Street, Virginia for arrival at Mary Immaculate Church, Virginia for funeral mass at 11am with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Mary O'Connell (née Fay)

Chadwell Heath, Essex, UK and formerly of Tullybrick, Lisboduff, Cavan

The death has occurred of Mary O’Connell, Chadwell Heath, Essex, England and formerly of Tullybrick, Lisboduff County Cavan, October 12th 2022. Peacefully, at King Georges Hospital, Goodmayes, Essex. Predeceased by her parents Maggie and Owen, brothers Pat, Hughie, Thomas and Peter. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her husband Gerald, son Peter (UK), daughters Margaret (UK), Helen (Dungarvan, Co. Waterford) and Teresa (Tuam, County Galway), 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, son in law Rory, brother Eugene (Cavan), sister Nan (Wales) sisters in law, nieces, nephews and many great friends.

Reposing at Cribb's Funeral Home, High Road, Chadwell Heath, on Monday, 31st October, with removal to St Bede’s Church, Bishops Avenue, Chadwell Heath, at 7pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, 1st November, at St Bede’s Church with burial afterwards at Forest Park Cemetery, Hainault. Those who would like to attend but cannot do so may leave a message in the condolence section below, please.

Kathleen Doherty (née McCabe)

287 The Cottages, Burnfoot, Donegal / Monaghan

The death has occurred at her residence of Kathleen Doherty (nee McCabe), 287 The Cottages, Burnfoot and formerly Co. Monaghan. Beloved Wife of Paddy (Chuck) and much loved mother of Paul, Amanda, Eugene, Margaret, Jacqueline and Michelle. Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, brother, sister, her wider family circle and friends.

MAY KATHLEEN REST IN PEACE

Her remains will be reposing at her home tomorrow afternoon, Friday 21st October, from 3.00pm. Removal Sunday morning, 23rd October, at 10.45am to St Mura's Church, Fahan for Requiem Mass at 11.30am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Nancy Donlon (née Matthews)

Mullaghdun, Clones Rd., Monaghan Town, Monaghan

Peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Eamonn and sister Margaret. Sadly missed by her loving sons Damien and Conor, daughter in law Róisín, grandchildren Oran and Aoibhinn, sisters Olive, Catherine and Cora, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces and a large circle of friends.

Mary Harris

38 Drumillard, Castleblayney, Monaghan

Peacefully in the loving care of the staff of St Ann’s Nursing Home, Ballybay in her 91st year. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Annie, siblings Dominic, Annie, Jim and Una, nieces Mary Fox Nolan and Anne Johnston. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, great neighbours and all her many friends.

May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

Mary is reposing at Corrigans Funeral Home, The Commons Castleblayney from 4pm to 7pm today and tomorrow, Friday, from 1pm to 5pm. Remains leaving Funeral Home on Friday evening after prayers at 5:15pm to arrive at St Mary’s Church Castleblayney for 5:30pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11am followed by burial in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Oram.

Mae Reilly (née Hughes)

Shanmullagh, Castleshane, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Mae Reilly (nee Hughes), Shanmullagh, Castleshane, Co. Monaghan, Wednesday, October 19th, peacefully at the Mater Hospital Dublin, surrounded by her family. Predeceased recently by her husband Sean, her grandson Stephen Kerr and Baby Ross. Mae, deeply regretted and remembered with love by her sons Gerry, Paul and Frankie, daughters Regina Kerr and Sonya Carragher, brother Seamus Hughes (Corcaghan), sister Roseleen Kelly (Castleshane), daughters in law, sons in law, her cherished grandchildren and great-grandson, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Mae will repose at her home in Shanmullagh (H18 KC58) from 2pm tomorrow, Friday. Removal on Saturday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St Mary’s Church, Clontibret (via Mc Keown's Bridge) for funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
