DkIT President, Dr Bob McKiernan said “Graduation is a landmark day in the calendar of any institution. More importantly though, it is a day you, the class of 2022 will remember forever. It represents progression and moving onto the next adventure. Today is a snapshot in time, encapsulating all the memories from this part of your educational journey.”

The President stated he was extremely proud of the class of 2022 given that they had demonstrated an unprecedented level of resilience and adaptability in completing their studies amid the most challenging of circumstances and that the life skills the students were forced to hone will stand to them as they make their way through life.

Dr McKiernan also added “In national Student Surveys, 91% of our students are in full time employment or have returned to study, 6 months after graduation. And as a national leader in Embedding Employability, we are delighted that 85% are employed in the region and 75% say they would do the same course again. These are the type of statistics that make all the staff here in DkIT incredibly proud”

Dr McKiernan concluded the ceremonies with some words of advice to the graduates “I hope that you will have seen the transformative effect that education has had on your lives. So, remain curious and continue to nurture your love of learning and engage in your educational growth. And remember you will ALWAYS be welcome back here at DkIT to continue your studies, either in a full time or part time capacity."
