Most Resilient Business: Arden Broadband

The winners of the Most Resilient Business Award at this year's Anglo-Celt Business and Tourism Awards were Arden Broadband...

High speed broadband was severely lacking in a rural county like Cavan in the early noughties but, thanks to companies like Arden Broadband, the county has a much-improved broadband infrastructure in place opening up business opportunities and supporting jobs locally.

Headed up by Barry Wilson, Eurona Arden is an internet service provider based in Belturbet. It has been operating for the past 15 years.

The team is also involved in the National Broadband rollout and continues to provide fixed wireless broadband options in areas where the fibre service is not yet live.

During lockdown, Barry and his team came under increased pressure to provide good broadband solutions for people working from home; or indeed engaged in online learning.

The company boasts over 3,000 customers in counties all over Ireland – even some in Cork!
