Tommy Doughty

Cloughbally Lower, Mullagh, Cavan, A82 AX54 / Meath

The death has occurred of Thomas Doughty Cloughbally Lower, Mullagh, Co. Cavan. Saturday 17th December 2022 at Our Lady’s Hospital Navan, following a short illness. Predeceased by his parents John and Margaret, his brothers Liam, Noel, Patsy and sister Lily Sheridan, Maio. Sadly missed by his brother Jack, Dublin and his sisters Phyllis Lynch Dublin and Nuala Mc Namee Oldcastle, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and very good friends and neighbours.

Tommy will repose at his residence A82AX54 tomorrow Sunday from 2-10pm. Removal on Monday morning to St Killian’s Church Mullagh for 11am Funeral Mass. Followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. May He Rest In Peace

Skeagh, Bailieborough, Cavan

Baby Shay Duffy, Skeagh, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan, Born 11th December, fell asleep in his mother's arms, comfortably, on the 16th December 2022. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken parents, Anne Marie and Stephen, brothers Robbie and his twin Rían, grandparents Margaret Burns, Eileen and Noel Duffy, uncles, aunts, cousins and all extended family.

Bridgie O'Reilly

Tullyegan, Mountnugent, Cavan / Clonsilla, Dublin

The death has occurred of Bridgie O'Reilly, Tullyegan, Mountnugent, Co. Cavan, formerly of 115 Clonsilla Road, Dublin 15, in her 90th year. Peacefully, on 17th December 2022, at the residence of Arthur and Bernie, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Rose, sister Maureen, brothers Louis, Vincent & Patjoe. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving nieces and nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and her extended family, teacher colleagues, friends and neighbours.

Bridgie will repose in Gibney's Funeral Home, Oldcastle, from 3pm to 6pm on Sunday, 18th December. Removal on Monday morning at 10.30am to St Brigid's Church, Mountnugent, for 11am Requiem Mass. followed by cremation at 1pm in Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Tullymongan Upper, Cavan H12RF78. Kathleen Shannon

Naughan, Belturbet, Cavan

Kathleen Shannon, Naughan, Belturbet, Co. Cavan, December 17th 2022, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at her daughter Claire's residence. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Kathleen and brothers, Tony and James. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, daughters Claire and Grace, sons Francis and Paul, grandchildren Óisin, Paul, Ciara, Ava and Mairead, brother Paddy, sons-in-law Ciaran and Shane, daughter-in-law Máire, neighbours, relatives and friends. Kathleen will be reposing at the residence of her daughter Claire and son-in-law Ciaran, Coragh, Belturbet (H14 TI83) on Sunday, 18th December, from 4pm until evening prayers at 8pm. Removal from her daughter's residence on Monday morning ,19th December, at 10.30am to arrive at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Belturbet, for Funeral Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in Drumalee Cemetery.

Nellie Smith (née Smith)

Carrickallen, Mountain Lodge, Cootehill, Cavan

Saturday, 17th December, peacefully, in the loving care of her family and the staff of Esker Lodge Nursing Home, Cavan. Predeceased by her husband Francie and her sister Nan. Sadly missed by her heartbroken children Raymond (Ita), Michelle, Louise (Terry), Martin, her adored grandchildren Natasha, Katie, Paul, Lee, Daniel and Tiernán, her loving brothers Patsy (Anne) Pete, Michael, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. Reposing at Lakeland’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, tomorrow, Sunday, from 5:30pm to 8pm. Reposing thereafter at her home. Removal from her home Tuesday, 20th December, to arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Carrickallen, for funeral Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Mary Brady (née Irwin)

Bree, Castleblayney, Monaghan

Mary Brady née Irwin, 26 Bree, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan.Saturday, December 17th 2022 in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

Predeceased by her mother Molly, father Stuarty, and brother Gerard.Deeply regretted and lovingly missed by her daughters Danielle, Michelle and Chyrelle, son James, grandchildren, Melissa, Lillie, Joe, Ben, Zoey and Charlie, brother Ambrose, sister Ann, sons-in-law Brendan and Barry, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her home from 7pm tomorrow (Sunday) until removal on Tuesday morning at 10:45am arriving to St. Patrick's Church, Oram, for requiem Mass at 11:30 with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Julia Duffy, Woodlands, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan and formerly of Drummerlough, Magheracloone, peacefully, at Beaufort House Nursing Home, Navan, 17th December 2022.

Predeceased by her parents Eoin & Rose Duffy, sisters Bridie Chapman & Kathleen Duffy and deceased brother-in-law. Deeply regretted by her brother Hugh Duffy, sisters Greta McArdle, Róisín Farmer, Teresa McCafferty, Eileen Freeman, all her nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Removal on Sunday evening to St Peter & Paul’s Church, Lower Magheracloone, arriving for 7pm. Funeral Mass on Monday, 19th December, at 11am in St Peter & Paul’s Church, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Bridie Sheridan (née Reilly)

Corranewey, Aghabog, Monaghan

The death has occured of Bridie Sheridan, nee Reilly, Corranewey, Aghabog, Co.Monaghan, Saturday 17th December 2022, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her parents Paddy and Margret Reilly, sister Kay, brother Terence and niece Geraldine. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Aiden, daughters Caroline Lynch (Jack), Lisa (Johnny), sons Enda (Sylvia), Cathal (Amy), Aiden jnr (Heather), grandchildren, brothers, sisters, aunt Kitty (Mayo), brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a wide circle of friends.

Remains reposing at her residence until removal on Monday morning to Holy Trinity Church, Dartrey, arriving for 11 o'clock funeral Mass. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
