The tractor was bearing a Northern Irish registration VJZ 6218, and gardaí say shared a number of identifiable features which may help in tracing its whereabouts. This includes information that the “rear right beacon is broken” on the cab.

The tractor also has yellow stickers “either side of the bonnet” and on front linkage.

It is believed the tractor travelled towards Shercock village, and took the right turn towards Corduff.

Anyone with information, either a sighting or who can assist in helping find the stolen tractor, is asked to contact Bailieborough gardaí on 042-9694570. In January of this year gardaí recovered two tractors stolen from the UK in the Cavan area.

An Garda Síochána’s stolen motor vehicle investigations unit was involved in the detections and confirmed recovery.

The tractors included a John Deere 6930, taken from a farm in Peterborough, England, and a John Deere 6320, stolen from south Wales.

Investigations are ongoing.

Last month a tractor and slurry tanker stolen from the Scartaglen/Currow area of Kerry was located in the Keady area of Co Armagh.

In December 2021 a tractor stolen from Monaghan was involved in several hit-and-run collisions before ending up also in Armagh.
