Deadline for Cavan Fleadh entries

The County Fleadh is set return to Belturbet this Summer, with the deadline for entries for competitions at 5pm on Friday, April 7.

The event itself takes place in the picturesque erneside town over the June Bank Holiday weekend, June 2-4.

Entry forms for competitions in all grades and age groups are available from the ‘Belturbet Comhaltas Fleadh’ Facebook page by clicking on the link available, or by emailing cavancountyfleadhentry2023@gmail.com

Forms will only be accepted by post to: Fleadh Secretary, Faharlagh, Belturbet; by email; or by arranged delivery to a member of the Fleadh organising committee.

Late entries will not be accepted.

An official launch will take place Bank Holiday Monday, April 10, with a bread-making demonstration, music session, and cúpla focal.

This year’s Fleadh event theme is ‘Tradition’ - Music, Song, Dance, Crafts etc.

On the Saturday night, June 3, Belturbet CCE will host specially arranged céilí at the Civic Centre from 9pm to 12 midnight.

This will be the third year that Belturbet CCE has hosted the County Fleadh in the town after a hugely successful year in 2022, and in 2019. Online events took place during the pandemic-imposed two-year hiatus (2020 & 2021).
