Boomtown Rats tickets snapped up!

Boomtown Rats Tickets have flown out the door since going on sale this morning (Tuesday).

The free outdoor concert sold 1000 tickets within the first half hour of release, with a booking fee of €1 per ticket.

The event is set to take place on Saturday, July 29, at the Egg Market, Cavan, and will be the crowning moment of the Cavan Calling Festival.

Featuring original members Bob Geldof, Pete Briquette, and Simon Crowe, the world-renowned rock legends will perform classics such as ‘Rat Trap’, ‘Lookin’ After No. 1’ and ‘I Don’t Like Mondays’.

Eddie Cruizer and the Savage Hearts have been announced as the support act on the night upon special request by Pete Briquette who heard their single and requested they play.

The founding member and bass player Pete, who originally hails from Ballyjamesduff, adds a special local connection to this celebration.

Cavan Calling is the homecoming festival for Cavan’s global Diaspora, a celebration of all things Breffni for those living in Cavan, those from Cavan living overseas, those with Cavan ancestry, or those who simply have an affinity for the county.
