It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past 24 hours, as reported on RIP.ie

Sr. Reparata Fitzsimons

Coppenagh, Virginia, Cavan

The death has occurred of Sr. Reparata Fitzsimons, Toni (Antoinette), Sisters of St. John of God, Western Australia and late of Coppenagh, Virginia, Co. Cavan, peacefully, in the loving care of the Sisters of St. John of God.

Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Bridget, her sister Kathleen and her brothers Thomas, Francis, Patrick and Owen.

Deeply regretted by the Sisters of St. John of God, her sister Moira, her brother Sean Dominic, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and many good friends.

Funeral will take place in Australia.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date.

Peter Coyle

Killyliss, Lisnalong, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Peter Coyle, Killyliss, Lisnalong, Co. Monaghan. Monday April 3rd peacefully at Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his parents Pete and Ellen and his brother Jim. Peter, deeply regretted and remembered with love by his heart broken family wife Marie, daughter Áine, sons Gerard, Peadar and James, son in law Gerry, daughters in-law Ciara, Caitriona and Frances, sisters Maura Quinn, Rose Mc Cabe and Eileen Moane, brother Brian, sister in-law Geraldine, brother in-law Frank, his eight cherished grandchildren Senan, Luke, Harry, Rían, Evie, Amber, Charlie and Oscar, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

“May Peter’s Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace”

Peter will repose at his residence (H18 H512) from tomorrow morning, Wednesday, until 9pm. Removal from the residence on Holy Thursday afternoon at 1:30pm to arrive at St Mary’s Church, Latton for Funeral Liturgy Prayer’s at 2pm, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. Peter’s funeral mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Latton on Easter Sunday morning at 10am.

Family flowers only please, donations if desired to The Oncology Unit, Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda, C/o Wards Funeral Home or by donation box. House private to family on Thursday please.

Tommy Ross

Drumacruttin, Dunraymond, Monaghan, H18 A362

Unexpectedly, on Monday, 3rd April 2023, in Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Resting at his home.

Tommy will be dearly missed by his beloved family; his devoted wife Gladys, daughters Jenny (David Shekleton) and Caroline (Mervin Niblock), sons Thomas (Linda), Kenneth (Jackie), Roy (Roberta), Derek (Eileen), Ronnie (Dominick) and Colin (Catherine), also his treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren, the entire family circle and his many good friends.

Funeral service on Thursday, 6th April, in First Ballybay Presbyterian Church, eircode A75 NA48, at 2pm. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard. Callers welcome to the family home on Tuesday and Wednesday. House private on Thursday, please.
