The death has occurred of Brian Cahill, Corfad, Virginia, Co. Cavan, peacefully at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, Virginia, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents, Mary and Patrick, his sister Angela and his brothers Colm and Fergus. Much loved husband of Aileen. Sadly missed by his wife, his son Eoin, his daughters Frances and Siobhán, his sister Kathleen, his brothers Cormac, Seán, Desi, and Noel and his granddaughters Shannon and Alexandria, nieces, nephews, relatives and a wide circle of friends.

Rest in Peace

Remains reposing at Matthews' Funeral Home, Bailieborough Road, Virginia ( A82YV58), on Monday afternoon from 1 o'clock until prayers at 5 o'clock. Walk through only please, by family request. Removal to St. Killian’s Church Mullagh on Tuesday morning arriving for 11 o'clock Funeral Mass, followed by Private Cremation at Lakelands Crematorium.

John (Jack) Dempsey

Cavan Road, Bailieborough, Cavan / Edenderry, Offaly.

John (Jack) Dempsey, Cavan Road, Bailieborough, Co Cavan and formerly of Edenderry, Co Offaly. Died 8th April 2023, peacefully, at his home. Predeceased by his wife Nora, son Paddy and sisters Kathleen and Lil.

Sadly missed by his heartbroken daughters Siobhan and Ann, brother Paddy, sisters Marie and Ann, sons-in-law Ryan and Andy, grandchildren Aoife, Charlie, Will, Elle and Jack, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his daughter Ann's residence, Cavan Road, Bailieborough, on Sunday from 3pm to 7pm and again on Monday from 3pm to 7pm. Removal on Tuesday morning at 11.40am to arrive to St. Anne's Church, Bailieborough, for funeral Mass at 12 noon with burial afterwards in St. Anne's Cemetery.

Eddie Fisher

Birmingham and late of Munelta, Stradone, Cavan.

The death has occurred of Eddie Fisher, formerly of Munelta, Stradone, Co Cavan, Saturday, April 8th, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife Carol, loving sons Colin and Peter, daughters Louise Smith (Ballyhaise) & Pauline, son-in-law Declan, daughter-in-law Jenna, grandchildren Bethany, Kelsey, Cian, Conor, Olivia and Eoin and great-grandchildren Kayden and Mason.

Eddie's Funeral will take place in Birmingham at a later date.

The death has occurred of Ted McHugh, Drumhurrin, Glangevlin, Co. Cavan. Peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. Ted will be sadly missed by his much loved wife Philomena, his daughters Breege (Charlie), Chrissie (Charles), Claire (Eddie), Sheila (John), Anne (Vincie), Rose (Paul), Kathleen (Tom), Siobhan (Declan) and Olivia (Owen), Sisters Bridie and Eileen, brother Michael, 19 grandchildren and great -grandson Charlie, extended family and friends.

Reposing at his home in Drumhurrin Easter Sunday from 2pm-8pm. N41 CX71. Removal on Monday morning to St. Patrick’s Church, Glangevlin, for Mass of Christian burial at 12 noon. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.Funeral Mass can be viewed here.
