Daniel Finnegan

Dalkey, Dublin / Ballinagh, Cavan

Finnegan Daniel (Dalkey, Co Dublin, born Ballinagh, Cavan) a gentleman in his 96th year on April 9th, very peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Colleen, adored and cherished father of Donal, Neil, CathyAnne, Michelle, Peter, Alan and the late Paul. He is sadly missed by his family, daughters-in-law Anne-Marie, Maria, Ana, Jane, sons-in-law Howard and Shane, his loving grandchildren Richard, Killian, Katie, Dan, Peter, Maria, Mark, Aoibhín, Isobel, Seán, Tess, Tom and Sally, his nephews, nieces, sister-in-law Kathleen, extended family, customers and all the dedicated staff of Finnegan’s over his 53 years in business in Dalkey and his many friends.

Reposing Wednesday (April 12th) at Quinn’s Funeral Home, Glasthule from 4pm to 6pm. Removal Thursday (April 13th) to the Church of the Assumption, Dalkey arriving for 11.30am Funeral Mass, which can be viewed online at www.churchservices.tv/dalkey followed by burial in Deansgrange Cemetery. “May he rest in Peace”

Peter Mc Ginnity

''Fáilte'', Drumalee and Mc Ginnitys Bar, Cavan Town, Cavan

Peter Mc Ginnity, "Fáilte", Drumalee and Mc Ginnity's Bar, Coleman Rd, Cavan Town, Monday, April 10th 2023, suddenly and peacefully. Predeceased by his parents John and Josephine and his brother Noel. Peter will be very sadly missed by his heartbroken wife and soulmate Sadie, his adoring children Emma (Paul), Sarah and Peter (Ann Marie), his beloved grandchildren Erin, Ben and Evie, his brothers Sean and Michael, sisters Marie, Kathleen, Sheila, Dympna, Josephine and Rita, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, all his extended family and many, many friends. May he rest in peace

Reposing at his home in Drumalee on Tuesday from 3pm until 8pm. House private at all other times, please. Removal on Wednesday morning at 11.30am, travelling to the Cathedral of Saints Patrick and Felim, Cavan, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Following mass the cortege will travel to St. Brigid's Cemetery, Killygarry, for burial in the family plot. Brian Newton

Australia and, Cavan

Brian Newton, Cavan and Australia, died peacefully on Thursday March 30th 2023 in Australia. Brian will be very sadly missed and dearly loved by his wife Mary (Minnie) nee Fay, Pullabawn, Cavan, his brothers in law Seamus (Phyllis) and Owen, sister in law Margie Gaffey (nee Fay) and her partner Brendan Smith, Mullingar, all his nieces, nephews and many good friends in Cavan and Mullingar.

Brian's Funeral will take place in Australia with the Funeral Mass celebrated on Thursday 13th April 2023. The Funeral Mass can be viewed live at https://bit.ly/3ztJ63S on Thursday morning 14th April at 4.30am.

Karl Hackett

Monaghan Town, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Karl Hackett, 32 Fairview Crescent, Killygoan, Monaghan on Friday April 7th. Predeceased by his grandparents Liam Mc Crystal, Sean and Martha Hackett.

Deeply regretted and remembered with love by his heart broken family, his parents Seán and Denise, brothers Rhys and Josh, grandmother Bernice Mc Crystal, sister in-law Darlene, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and many friends. May Karl’s Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace.

Karl will repose at his grandmothers residence Bernice Mc Crystal, 20 Fairview Crescent, Killygoan on Wednesday from 2pm until 8pm. Karl’s funeral cortège will proceed on foot from the residence on Thursday morning at 10:30am to arrive at St Macartan's Cathedral, Monaghan for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in Latlurcan Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to SOSAD C/o Wards Funeral Home or by donation box. House private at all other times by request please.
