Tullyvin Musical Society in the running for national award

Tullyvin Musical Society (TVMS) is in the running for a prestigious national award.

The group has been nominated for the Association of Irish Musical Society (AIMS) Awards in Best Stage Management for their production of 'The Addams Family' which delighted audiences during its sold-out run in Tullyvin Community Centre last October.

Stage Manager Brian Ferrick, along with the stage management team comprising Stephen McCormack and Stephen Hannigan were nominated for their stellar work on creating a visually spectacular set.

Months of planning were spent designing, building and assembling the bespoke set.

TVMS Chairperson, Pamela McCormack has expressed her delight at the nomination.

"We are absolutely thrilled! 'The Addams Family' marked our triumphant return to the stage after a long hiatus, and boy, did we have a blast!

"We cannot express enough gratitude to everyone who stood by us, cheered us on, and contributed their incredible talents to bring this show to life. From those who supported us behind the scenes to the ones who filled the seats, from the builders to the painters, decorators, and all who made it happen, you are our heroes!

"This sensational journey back into the realm of musical theatre has gifted us with unforgettable moments and memories that will forever shine in our hearts. Receiving a nomination for an AIMS award is incredible validation of the endless hours and relentless dedication we poured into our society.

"We are positively bursting with anticipation for what's to come!"

The Tullyvin troupe will return to the stage with 'Little Shop of Horrors' this October.

Members of the cast, crew and committee will be travelling to the AIMS Awards Ceremony in Killarney on June 18 where the winners will be announced. Wishing everyone the best of luck!
