Mary Hayes

Mary Hayes (nee Fallon), Bawn, Killeshandra, County Cavan, 3rd August 2023, peacefully, under the care of the staff of St. Vincent’s Ward, Mater Hospital, Dublin, after an illness, bravely borne. Predeceased by her brothers Stephen and Desmond. Very sadly missed by her husband Joe, children Joanne, Maeve and Justin, sons-in-law Chris and Mark and Justin’s partner Patricia, her brother Seamus, her beloved grandchildren Ryan, Max, Eóin and James, sisters-in-law Bríd, Rena and Josie, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing in Lawlor’s Funeral Home, Belturbet on Saturday, 5th August, from 5pm- 7pm and in her home on Sunday from 3pm – 9pm for family, friends and neighbours. Removal from her home on Monday morning at 11.35am to St. Brigid’s Church, Killeshandra, for funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Edward (Ed) Powell

Annaglough, Cavan / Castleknock, Dublin

Edward (Ed) Powell, Castleknock, Dublin and Annaglough, Cavan, Wednesday, August 2nd 2023, suddenly. Predeceased by his father Derek Powell. Ed will be very sadly missed and dearly loved by his heartbroken mother Geraldine, brothers Dermot and Craig, sisters in law Veronica and Jenny, his much loved nephews and nieces, David, Kate, Molly, Luke John, Emily, Anna and Michael, his aunts, uncles, cousins all his relatives and many friends.

May He Rest In Peace.

Reposing at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan, H12 C821, on Sunday evening from 5pm and concluding with prayers at 7pm. Removal on Monday at 11.30am to the Cathedral of Ss Patrick & Felim, Cavan, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. The death has occurred of Eddie Boyle, Tullycomiskey, Castleshane, Co. Monaghan and formerly Annashanco, Roslea, Co. Fermanagh, peacefully at his home in the loving care of his family.

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Molly, brothers Frank and Joe, sister Alice, sister-in-law Margaret, brothers-in-law Sean and Gerard. Dearly beloved husband of Eileen and devoted father to Gabriel (Nadine), Noel, Colm (Yisell), Enda (Sionagh) and Darren (Stephanie). An adored grandfather to Hamish, Maia, Cayetana, Arlo, Alice, Grace and Sadie. A much loved brother of Pat, Tom, Lily and Margaret. Sadly missed by his brothers-in-law Jim and Peter and sisters-in-law Susan, Bernie, Marie (Hugh), Kathleen (Colum) and Patricia.

Eddie will be reposing at Clerkin Funeral Home, Milltown, Monaghan. H18 YF22, Saturday from 2pm until 8pm and Sunday from 12 noon until 4.30pm. Remains leaving his home on Monday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St Mary's Church, Clontibret for 11am funeral mass. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Michael James Kilroy

Emyvale, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Micheal James Kilroy, 103 Augheraney Rd, Mullaghaconnor, Dungannon, Co Tyrone and formerly Emyvale, Co Monaghan, Friday, 4th August, peacefully at home.

Predeceased by his son Damian, his father Martin, his mother Margaret and brother Martin. Michael will be sadly missed by his loving wife Bridie (nee Gartland), brother Sean, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.

May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Michael's remains will leave from his home on Monday, 7th August, to arrive at The Church of the Assumption, Tullyallen, for 11am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Frank Loughran MRCVS Upper Main Street, Ballyhaunis and formerly Cremartin, Monaghan, unexpectedly but peacefully at Mayo University Hospital. Predeceased by his brothers Arthur, John Raymond and his sister Molly. Deeply regretted by his wife Yvonne, sons Brian and Eamonn, daughters Maeve, Aine, Daire and Sinead, grandchildren Ciara, Anna, Leah, Roisin and Allanah, sisters Teresa (Dublin) and Kathleen (Athlone), sons in law Eddie, Declan, Gavin, and Eamonn’s partner Aishling Dolan.

Reposing at Donnellans Funeral Home, Clare Street, Ballyhaunis on Sunday evening from 4 o clock until 6 o clock. Funeral will arrive to St Patrick's Church, Ballyhaunis on Monday morning for Funeral Mass at 11 o clock with burial afterwards in the local cemetery. Funeral mass can be viewed live on Ballyhaunis Parish webcam or listened to on Ballyhaunis Parish Radio. The death has occurred of Jim (James) McCooey, 9 Belgium Park, Monaghan, H18W822. Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife Olive and family. Predeceased by his parents Susan and John and sister Kathleen. Cherished and much-loved husband of Olive. Loving father to daughters Dolores McConnon, Teresa McCooey, Christine McKenna, Susan McCooey and son Jim. Sadly missed by his beloved wife, daughters, son, daughter in law Marie, son in law Martin McKenna, his twelve grandchildren, Noel, Leona, Lisa, Darren, Sean, Áine, Iain, Aoife, Alana, Alexandra, Conor, and Georgina and his 5 great-grandchildren, Lucy, Sé, Éire, Saorla and Halle, relatives, neighbours, and many friends.

Family time at all other times please with removal on Monday morning at 10.15am to arrive at St. Macartan’s Cathedral, Monaghan for 11am Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Old Cemetery, Latlurcan.

The death has occurred of Sean Mc Mahon, Annacroft, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda Thursday 3rd August 2023. Predeceased by his wife Marie. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sons and daughters, Majella, Martina, Yvonne, Niall, Ruth, and Kevin, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, Vincent, Myrtle, John and Tara and his grandchildren, Sarah, Justin, Amy, Nicole, Eleanor, Conall, Eva, Isobel, Ryan, Cian, Fionn, Oscar and Keira, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at his residence (Annacroft – A81 WR90) on Saturday afternoon from 2pm to 8pm. Removal from his residence on Sunday (6th August) to St. Enda’s Church, Killanny (A81 VY39) for 10.45am. Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in adjoining Cemetery.

Please Note: Due to the recent weather conditions, parking is limited, and so, we are asking people to approach from the Dundalk Road (R178) and park on the Corcrin Road and exit via Lisanisk please.
