Philomena McGovern

Belturbet, Cavan / Dublin

The death has occurred of Mena McGovern formerly of Belturbet and Dublin. Passed away peacefully at College View Nursing Home on August 26th, surrounded by her family. Mena is predeceased by her parents, brothers Eamon, Bro. Frank McGovern and sister Madge. Sadly missed by her sister Patricia (Killeshandra), nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and friends. Rest in Peace

Philomena's funeral service will be held at Lakelands Funeral Home and Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan on Sunday 27th August at 5pm followed by Cremation.

Theresa Clerkin (née Fitzpatrick)

Marino, Dublin / Cavan

Clerkin (née Fitzpatrick) Theresa (Marino, Dublin and formerly Co. Cavan) – August 24, 2023, (peacefully) surrounded by her family at Glenaulin Nursing Home, Chapelizod, beloved wife of the late Dessie and mother of the late Colm, predeceased by her brothers Pat and Hugh and her sister Maggie; lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children Deirdre, Paul, Vincent, John and Eoghan, son-in-law Niall, daughters-in-law Imelda, Evelyn and Bronagh, John’s partner Angie, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her brothers Michael and John and her sister Mary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, kind neighbours and her many friends.

Reposing at the Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand on Sunday afternoon (August 27) with family in attendance from 4 o’clock until 6 o’clock. Requiem Mass on Monday morning (August 28) at 10 o’clock in Church of St. Vincent de Paul, Marino. Funeral thereafter to St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Sutton. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland.

Seamus Donnellan

Deanhill, Hayes, Navan, Meath, C15 E3F2 / Bailieborough, Cavan

Peacefully in the wonderful care of Our Lady's Hospital Navan. An expression of thanks also to Millbury Nursing Home Navan. Beloved son of the late Pat and Elizabeth and brother of the late Margaret. Sadly missed by his loving wife Kitty, son Tommy, daughter-in-law Ruth, brother, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Rest in Peace

Reposing at home on Sunday from 3pm until 6pm. Removal on Sunday evening to The Church of The Assumption, Yellow, Furze, Beauparc arriving at 7pm. Damien Fee, 24th August 2023, Knocklyon, Dublin and formerly of Church St, Ballyconnell, Co.Cavan, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of the Nightingale Ward, Blackrock Clinic, Dublin. Beloved and devoted Husband of Breda, loving Dad of Mark, Stephen and Grace, much loved Grandad of Rían, Isla and Saoirse, loving Brother of Brian and his late sister Catherine and son of his late parents Joe and Gretta.

Damien will be forever loved and very sadly missed by his devoted wife, sons, daughter, son-in-law Colm, sons' partners Teresa and Megan, his adored grandchildren, brother, brothers-in-law, sister in law, nieces, nephews, extended family and his wide circle of friends. Margaret (Peggy) Tierney (née Smith)

Margaret (Peggy) Tierney (née Smith), 25th August, predeceased by husband, Noel, her son, Norbert and her sister, Sue. Sadly missed by her family Noel, Fintan, Grainne and Declan, her son-in-law Michael, daughters-in-law Brenda, Irene, Janet and Monica, her eight grandchildren and her sisters Anna Cahill, Kitty Cusack, her brother-in-law Jimmy, her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home at Cavan Road, Ballyhaise today from 4pm to 8pm, and again on Saturday from 12pm to 4.30pm. Removal to arrive at St. Mary's Church, Ballyhaise at 6pm, Saturday. Requiem Mass on Sunday 27th at 10.30am with interment afterwards in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Castletara.

Sheila Fullerton (née Swift)

The death has occurred of Sheila Fullerton (née Swift), 12 Fairview Crescent, Killygoan, Monaghan, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Drumbear Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. Sheila is predeceased by her mother & father Mary & Patsy Swift, her sister Maureen and her brothers Sean & Paddy.

Sheila will be sorely missed by her loving husband James of 61 years, her daughter Orla, son-in-law Davy, grandaughter Shauna and grandson A.J. Sheila will also be missed by her sisters Bridie and Nuala. "May Sheila's Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace"

The death has occurred of Rosaleen Gray (nee McGorman), peacefully in the loving care of her family, nurses and staff of Medical 1, Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her parents Bridie and James, brother Tony and niece Michelle. Dearly beloved wife of Jim-Joe and a much loved mother to Jackie, Della (Ronnie), Angela (Padraig), Katrina (Jimmy) and James. A devoted grandmother to her 14 grandchildren. Sadly missed by her sisters May (Pat), Breige (John RIP) and by her brother Sean, sisters-in-law Theresa and Mary.
