Sunny day ahead with scattered showers

Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees

A mix of sunny spells and scattered showers this afternoon and evening, some turning heavy or possibly thundery, especially in the east and southeast. The showers will gradually become more isolated from the west. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees in moderate, occasionally fresh northwest winds.

Long dry spells with just isolated showers early tonight. Later on, low cloud and scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle will arrive into Atlantic counties. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 13 degrees, coolest in the east under the clearest skies, in mostly light west to northwest breezes.

Tomorrow, the east will start dry with limited sunny spells before cloud and scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle become widespread by late morning. Some late sunny spells will develop later as the rain and drizzle becomes patchier and mostly confined to the eastern half of the country. Highest temperatures of 16 to 19 or possibly 20 degrees in light to moderate westerly winds, veering northwesterly later.
