John Doherty

The sudden death has occurred of John Doherty, Oldcastle Road, Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan. Predeceased by his parents Eddie and “Dilla” Doherty. Deeply regretted and sorely missed by his loving wife Emer and daughter Aoife (Sean), sons Conor (Mathilde) and Rory (Jade), his cherished granddaughter Leah, brother Eamonn, sister Rose, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. John will be reposing at Mathews' Funeral Home, Virginia, on Friday evening 10th from 4.15pm until 7.00pm. Removal from his late home on Saturday to St Joseph's Church, Ballyjamesduff, arriving for requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial will take place afterwards in new cemetery. House Private, please.

May (Ann Marie) Lunney (née Holmes)

Cloughbally, Mullagh, Cavan / Drimnagh, Dublin

The death has occurred of May (Ann Marie) Lunney, Cloughbally Lower, Mullagh, Co. Cavan and formerly Keeper Road, Drimnagh, unexpectedly, but peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her son Trevor, her parents, brothers and sisters. Much loved and cherished wife and best friend of Ollie and much loved mother of Donal. Sadly missed by her husband, son, daughter in law Niamh and granddaughter Abbey, her sister Dinah, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Matthews Funeral Home Bailieborough Road, Virginia on Thursday evening from 6 o'clock until 8 o' clock. A celebration of May's life will take place in Matthews' Funeral Home, Bailieborough Road, Virginia (A82YV58) on Friday at 1.30 o’clock followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium Cavan. Bridie Connolly (née McCartney)

Drumbo, Carrickmacross, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Bridie Connolly (née McCartney), Drumbo, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, Wednesday, 8th November 2023. Predeceased by her parents Peter and Lil, brother Tom, sisters Kathleen, Eileen, Tessie, Philomena and Rosie. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving husband Pat, daughter Sharon, son-in-law James, family friend Ivan, sisters May (Dundalk), Lily (Halifax), Maggie (London), brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Founder of Century Homes. Peacefully in the loving care of his family in the U.S.A. Predeceased by his father Brian. The death has occurred of Kay McDonnell (née Rushe), Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan, Wednesday, 8th November 2023, peacefully in her 103rd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband John. Deeply regretted and lovingly missed by her children Sean-Og, Mary, Anne and Peter, all her relatives and friends. Reposing at Corrigan's Funeral Home, Castleblayney, from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday. Nuala White (née Cassidy)

White nee Cassidy (Craigavon and formerly Monaghan) November 7th 2023. Nuala, 19B Meadowbrook, beloved mother of Nuala (Slim) and Leslie and dear sister of Sheelagh, Imelda, Tina, Noel, Colm and the late Aurelia. R.I.P. Nuala will repose at her residence today (Wednesday) from 6.00pm & tomorrow Thursday from 11.00am.

A service will be held at Nuala's home on Friday at 12.00 noon for family and friends. Interment afterwards in Latlurcan Cemetery, Monaghan. Family and friends are welcome after the burial to the Hillgrove Hot l for a celebration of Nuala's life. Feel Free to wear colour, Nuala was never dull.
