C elebrating 70 years, Magees of Kingscourt is a third-generation, family-run business. It was established in 1953 specialising in ladies, gents styles and school uniforms.

For the last 34 years, husband and wife, Pat and Rosena, have been at the helm of the store.

The couple aren’t just knowledgeable about fashion, they are passionate about making every customer feel appreciated and valued. They invest time in understanding their customers’ needs, preferences and aspirations. So, whether it’s finding the perfect outfit or simply lending a listening ear, the commitment to exceptional service is to the fore at Magees of Kingscourt.

Pat says it’s important not to be afraid to push the boundaries. As a small business, he and Rosena continue to embrace innovation and adapt to changing market trends, and customers’ needs while maintaining a strong focus on superior customer service.

“We moved online when COVID-19 struck and this made us more accessible,” he explained.

“Our commitment to exceptional service isn’t just a practice, it’s engrained in our company’s DNA. We are passionate about making every customer feel appreciated and valued,” added Pat.

As an independent family run retailer, the Magees are under constant pressure from multinationals and chain stores. They pride themselves on the store’s individuality, fashion sense, style, professionalism and customer service. Pat feels it’s those credentials that will provide the much-loved store with a place on Kingscourt’s main street for many years to come.
