Nancy Brady (née Reilly) Duffcastle, Crosserlough, Co. Cavan. Tuesday, December 26th (peacefully) at home surrounded by her loving family in her 97th year. Predeceased by her husband Tom, sons Bernard & John, daughter Breege (Kelly) and grandson Tony. Nancy will be forever loved and missed by her family; Nuala (Brian), Mary (John), Peggy (Feilim), Ann (Sean), Kitty (Mick), Tony (Mags), brothers Patsy (Poles) and Barney (New York), sister Molly (New York), daughter in law Maggie, son in law Andy, her 20 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and her good neighbours. Reposing at Briody's Funeral Home, Kilnaleck today (Wednesday 27th) from 4pm to 6pm followed by Removal to St. Mary's Church, Crosserlough arriving at 7pm. Funeral Mass tomorrow (Thursday 28th) at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery. John Rothwell

Killyvalley, Ballyjamesduff, Cavan

John passed away peacefully at home in the loving care of his family, today Wednesday the 27th of December 2023. Predeceased by his sisters Nancy and Marie and his brother Charlie. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his wife Ettie, sons Aidan (Sarah), Kenneth (Aileen) and Garrett (Julie), sisters Monica, Teresa, Rosaleen and Frances, adored grandchildren, relatives and a huge circle of friends. MAY HIS GENTLE SOUL REST IN PEACE

Reposing at his home at Killyvalley, Ballyjamesduff on Thursday 28th from 2pm-7pm followed by removal to St. Joseph's Church, Ballyjamesduff at 8.30pm. Funeral mass on Friday at 11am in St. Michael's Church, Potahee with burial afterwards. No flowers please. Donations in lieu of Cavan Pallitive Care and the Cuan Cancer Support Centre Cavan.

Owen Shields

The death has occurred of Owen Shields. Cloughvalley, Carrickmacross, 27th December 2023. Unexpectedly, at his home. Predeceased by his mother Julia, his sister Anna, his nephew Joivan and his grandparents Owen & Catherine. Sadly missed and remembered with love by his cherished family, his brother Patrick and his sisters Kathleen, Patricia, Rita & Irene, his sister-in-law Analiza, his brothers-in-law Michael & Seamus, his much-loved nephews & nieces; Melissa (Kevin), Caoimhe (John), Juleen (Paddy), Kyle (Laoise), Laurina, Guillermo, Kerina, Elena & John, his great-nephew & great-nieces Fionn, Cara & Elise, his relatives, friends & neighbours. Owen will repose at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 D328, on Friday 29th December, from 3pm until 7pm. Owen's funeral cortège will leave his home, Cloughvalley, on Saturday, 30th December, proceeding on foot, via Farney Street & Main Street, arriving to St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his son Dermot and his parents Cassie and Patrick. Sadly missed by his loving wife Bernadette, sons Seamus (Frances), Brendan, Kevin (Laura) and Liam (Roisin), daughters Lisa (Enda) and Briege (Pádraig), grandchildren Chloe, Chanelle, Joe, Jack, Kyle, Brianna, Conán, Leon, Shannon, Caitlin, Sinead, Reuben and Mia, brother, sisters, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
