Saturday, March 2nd, marked the final show of ‘U2:UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere’, the live music experience which saw the Irish rock band launch the cutting-edge venue Sphere in Las Vegas.

The shows played off to over 700,000 fans across 40 sold-out dates from September 2023 through March 2024.

The visuals and live music performance, combined with the venue’s tech elements and state-of-the-art audio, quickly went viral on social media.

The Friday night of closing weekend saw U2 drummer Larry Mullen Jr in the crowd, later posting to the band’s social media: “What an incredible night at Sphere. So grateful to Bono, Edge and Adam and of course Bram for an amazing job, very emotional night for me personally.”

The Saturday night of closing weekend took in a pre-show presentation of the 'Key to the Las Vegas Strip' to Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Bram Van Den Berg (sitting in on drums for Larry Mullen Jr.) by Clark County commissioner, Tick Segerblom.

‘U2:UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere’ has proved to be one of the band’s most ambitious creative projects to date, and saw them work once again with longtime U2 creative collaborator and show director Willie Williams, as well as artists including Es Devlin, John Gerrard and Marco Brambilla.
