It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Peggy (Margaret) Carroll

(née Gaynor)

Beaumont, Dublin / Ballinagh, Cavan

Carroll (née, Gaynor) Peggy (Margaret) (Collinswood, Dublin and formerly of Ballinagh, Co. Cavan) March 19th 2024, passed away peacefully, in the loving care of all the staff at Annabeg Nursing Home, Ballybrack, Co. Dublin. Beloved wife of the late Joe, loving mother of Maureen, Siobhán, Eileen and Orla and much loved grandmother to Shane, Aoife, Cian and Amaya. Sadly missed by her family, sons-in-law Benno and Ian, great-grandchildren Reya and Aoibhinn Peggy, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and wonderful neighbours.

May she rest in peace.

Reposing in Lanigan’s Funeral Home, 21 Beaumont Road on Thursday, 21st March, from 3pm to 5pm. Removal on Friday morning, 22nd March, to the Church of the Holy Child, Whitehall arriving for Funeral Mass at 10.30am. Burial afterwards in Glasnevin Cemetery.

James Duffy

Cornacarrow, Tullynahinnera, Castleblayney, Monaghan

The death has occurred of James Duffy, Cornacarrow, Tullynahinnera, Castleblayney, Monaghan. Monday March 18th, suddenly at his residence.

James, deeply regretted and remembered with love by his family, his sister Margaret godsons Michael & Dean, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

"May James' Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace”

James will repose privately at his home. Removal on Thursday morning from his residence at 10.30am arriving at Sacred Heart Church, Lough Egish for funeral mass at 11:00am followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

House strictly private at all times please, by request.

Kathleen Kane

(née McKenna)

Letgonnelly, Emyvale, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Kathleen Kane nee McKenna, Letgonnelly, Emyvale, Co.Monaghan. Tuesday 19th March, peacefully at her residence in the care of her loving family.

Pre-deceased by her parents Jimmy & Frances McKenna. Kathleen will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her loving husband Patrick, sons James & Pádraic, daughter in law Tina and cherished grandson Kayden, brothers Christy, Jimmy, Kevin, Paul, Noel & Liam, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

May her gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Kathleen’s remains will repose at her home on Wednesday from 3pm – 9pm and Thursday from 3pm – 9pm. House private to family and friends on Friday morning please. Funeral Mass on Friday afternoon at St.Patrick’s Church, Corracrin at 1pm, burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association c/o Peter McMahon, McMahon’s Funeral Home, Emyvale or by donation box.

Please note, there will be a shuttle bus in operation from St.Patrick’s Church, Corracrin, H18 TY04, from 5pm - 9pm Wednesday & Thursday evening.
