Windy, showery outlook across Cavan for next 24 hours

Blustery winds and showers are expected across Ulster over the next 24 hours. Today will be a cloudy and rather blustery day with scattered showers and fresh to strong southerly winds across the province.

Some dry and perhaps isolated sunny spells will develop this afternoon as the showers die out. Highs of 11 to 14 degrees.

Tonight will see any lingering showers slowly clear away but it will become rather overcast early this evening. Fresh southerly winds will strengthen too as rain arrives later tonight, heavy at times. Mild with lows of 10 to 12 degrees.

Tomorrow, Saturday will begin with strong winds as Storm Kathleen tracks north across the Atlantic coast. Very strong and gusty southerly wind with severe gusts in exposed areas from early morning. Scattered showers will spread throughout before gradually easing later in the afternoon as Storm Kathleen moves off to the north. Highs of 11 to 13 degrees.
