The death has occurred of Rita McManus of Cluain Óir, Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim and formerly of Dowra, Co Cavan.

Predeceased by her husband Peter and sons Declan and Mervyn.

Sadly missed by her sons Austin and Raymond and her relatives, neighbours and friends.

May She Rest in Peace

Removal to St Patrick's Church, Killinagh, Blacklion for Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 12noon with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Drumanespic, Bailieborough, Cavan

Alice Clarke née Lynch, Drumanespic, Bailieborough, Co Cavan died on the 14th April 2024 peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Vincent, son Philip and daughter-in-law Paula.

Sadly missed by her family Roisin McDonald (John), Mary Rita Daly (Cormac), Geraldine Gormley (Terry), Vincent (Annie), and Margaret Hawthorne (Robert), sister Rita Lynch, sister-in-law Mary, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, sixteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough on Tuesday evening 16th April from 5pm - 8pm. Removal from her residence Wednesday morning at 10:40am to arrive at St. Anne's Church, Bailieborough Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock. Burial afterwards in St. Bridgid's Cemetery, Knockbride West (Tunnyduff). The funeral mass can be viewed via St. Anne's Church Webcam.

Suddenly at his residence. Predeceased by his father Patsy.

Deeply missed by his mother Teresa, sister Sharon, (John), brothers Michael (Dawn), Sean (Lisa), Brendan (Collette) and Paddy (Yvonne), uncles and aunts, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence A81DP99 on Tuesday from 6pm to 9pm and Wednesday from 2pm to 9pm. Family time thereafter. Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at 11am in St Patrick's Church, Shercock. The death has occurred of Marius Jurgutis, Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan, Friday, 12th April 2024, suddenly and unexpectedly. Predeceased by his father. Cherished partner of Inta and adored father of Kamile, Mantas and Markuss. Marius will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his partner, children, heartbroken mother Regina, brothers, Lima, aunts, uncles, nieces, extended family, neighbours, and his many friends.

Stephen Kelly, Cavan and Newbridge, Co. Kildare. Sunday, April 14th 2024, peacefully at St James’s Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by his loving family. Pre deceased by his parents Stephen and Mary Kelly, Cootehill Road, Cavan. Deeply regretted by his brother Seamus, sisters Pat, Stephanie, Honor, Miriam and Olivia, stepmother Mary, brothers in law, sister in law, nieces, nephew, grand nieces and nephews, cousins, all his relatives and his many friends.

Celbridge, Kildare / Cootehill, Cavan

McCANN Rita (née O’Reilly) (Celbridge, Co. Kildare and formerly of Cootehill, Co. Cavan), died peacefully on Sunday, April 14th 2024 in her own bed at home after a long fight with cancer. Predeceased by her parents Tommy and Gretta. Deeply missed by her husband of forty eight years, Michael, her son Paul, daughter-in-law Orlaith and granddaughter Aoibhinn. Sadly missed by her sister Eileen and brother-in-law Bill, her sister Mary (Min), her brother Paddy and sister-in-law Mary, by her nieces, nephews, cousins at home and abroad and by their families. Fondly remembered by a wide circle of friends, particularly those made during her years in Celbridge library.

Reposing at Cunningham's Funeral Home, Ardclough Road, Celbridge (W23 AK13) on Tuesday afternoon (April 16th) from 3pm to 6pm and from 7pm onwards at home for neighbours and friends. Removal to St. Patrick’s Church Celbridge on Wednesday morning (April 17th) arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in Donacomper Cemetery. The death has occurred of John (Séan) Doyle, Sreenty, Old School House Shantonagh, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan and formerly Donaghmede, Dublin. Saturday, April 13th, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the care of the staff in Gormanston Wood Nursing Home. Beloved husband of Anne, loving father of Fiona, Deirdre, Maeve and Ciara, adored grandad of Caríosa and Cían. Much loved brother of Gerry Kirwan (Nottingham). Sadly missed by his sons in-law John and Tony, sister in-law Phyllis, brothers in-law Fergus and Fabian, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbours.

Predeceased by his parents Michael and Alice Fitzsimons, by his brothers Gene and Jimmie, sisters Minnie and Nancy, sisters-in-law Gertie and Julia and his brother-in-law James Murphy. Deeply regretted and sadly missed with love by his loving daughter Ann, son Michael, grandchildren Joseph, Vicky, Gemma and Tiffany, sister Peggy Fitzsimons, brother-in-law Vincent Duffy, great-grandchildren Grace, Harrison, Oakley, Jacob, Emily, Sophie and Colson, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Chicago and formerly, Carrickmacross, Monaghan / Dublin

Micheal Hanrahan passed away peacefully on the 31st of March in Chicago. Predeceased by his son Brendan. Sadly missed by his loving wife Maureen, daughter Bridget, son in law Jeff, daughter in law Kate, grandchildren Emmet, William, Declan and Quinn, his brother Martin, sister Ellen, nephews and nieces in Ireland and a large extended family in Chicago as well as his many friends in both Chicago and Florida.

McVeigh nee McGeown (Keady) 14th April 2024 peacefully in her 90th year Fay RIP. Dearly beloved wife of the late Benny and devoted mother to Mary (Sean), Joe (Una), Brian (Ann), Jackie (Ann), Jean (Dinky), Majella (Noel).

Her remains will repose at her late residence 48 Caramoyle Estate BT60 2RN until removal on Wednesday to arrive at St Mary's Church, Granemore for 11am funeral mass.Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Deeply regretted by her loving sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the entire family circle and many friends.

On her gentle soul sweet Jesus have mercy.

Bernie O’Grady

(née Courtney)

Maunsells Road, Galway City, Galway / Dublin / Monaghan

It is with deep sadness that Bernie’s family share the news of her death on Sunday, April 14, in the loving care of the staff at the Galway Clinic surrounded by her family after bravely navigating a very short illness. Predeceased by her husband Pat and brother Jimmy.

Deeply loved and mourned by her heartbroken children Sharon, Marcus, Mara Elaine and Gemma, by her adored grandchildren Catherine, Alva, Gavin, Cian, Anna and Rory, sisters Marie O’Connor and Kay O’Hare and brothers Paddy, Eamonn and Michael. Bernie will be very sadly missed and lovingly remembered always by her family and their families, her sons-in-law Roy O’Hanlon and James Duggan, daughter-in-law Eimer Folan, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, the extended O’Grady and Courtney family, her “girls” and her wide circle of friends.

Bernie will repose at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91V1K8) on Wednesday, April 17 from 5 p.m. with removal at 7 p.m to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Bernie on Thursday, April 18 at 12 noon and following Mass, she will be laid to rest in Rahoon Cemetery. House Strictly Private,
