Cool and breezy day with scattered showers

Patches of light rain or drizzle at times, but overall a lot of dry weather and gradually increasing daytime temperatures. That's the latest weather outlook from the national forecaster.

Today will be cool and breezy with scattered showers and some sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in a moderate to fresh northwesterly breeze.

It will become largely dry with clear spells tonight, as showers become isolated. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 6 degrees with a light to moderate west to northwest wind.

Cloud will increase tomorrow morning and scattered outbreaks of rain or drizzle will extend across the country from the northwest through the day. Highest temperatures of 7 to 12 degrees in a light to moderate west to northwest wind.

Wednesday night: Generally dry and cloudy, although a few patches of light rain or drizzle will linger. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees in a light northwesterly or variable wind.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy and dry, with just a few patches of light rain or drizzle. Highest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees in a light to moderate west to northwest wind.

Thursday night: Staying largely cloudy with patches of light rain or drizzle. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees in a light to moderate west to northwest wind.

Friday: Starting mostly cloudy with isolated showers but sunny spells will improve later in the day. Highest temperatures of 10 to 15 degrees with light to moderate north to northwest winds.

Friday night: Dry with long clear spells and light winds. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees.

Saturday: Most areas will be dry on Saturday with some sunshine at times. Highest temperatures of 12 to 17 degrees with light and variable winds.

Saturday night: Dry with clear spells and light winds. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 5 degrees.

Sunday: Sunday is looking mostly dry with sunshine at times. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees with light winds.
