Have you voted in the Celt Community and Sports Awards 2024?

Awards, in partnership with Mannok, take place at the Cavan Crystal Hotel, Thursday, May 23.

The Anglo-Celt will later this year host its inaugural Community and Sports Awards, with nominations for entries now open.

The deadline for submissions is midnight, Sunday, May 5.

The awards themselves are an afternoon event, to be held in the Cavan Crystal Hotel, on Thursday, May 23.

The awards are being hosted in partnership with Mannok and looks to recognise volunteers and achievers from across Cavan and surrounding areas.

Already hundreds of people have entered their choice for nomination, and inspirational story that merits recognition. It may be a family member, a clubmate, a neighbour or just someone you feel has gone above and beyond that deserves to be acknowledged.

The nominations are now open and the winners will be chosen by our editorial team, headed by Editor Linda O’Reilly and Sports Editor Paul Fitzpatrick.

We are certain this event will be hugely popular and will become a permanent fixture on the calendar. This year is the first under the new guise and we are asking you, our loyal readers, to get in touch and help us ensure it is a spectacular success.

While the Celt is dedicated to reporting impartially on news and sport as well as all other areas of local life, a sense of community remains key and our pledge is to serve you in any way we can.
