Michael Johnston, Drumcrow, Stradone, Co. Cavan. Ex ESB Technician. Thursday, April 18th suddenly but peacefully at Cavan General Hospital.

Due to the passing of Michael, the offices of JM Johnston Consultants will be closed until Monday.

Stephen Kelly

Cavan Town, Cavan / Newbridge, Kildare

Stephen Kelly, Cavan and Newbridge, Co. Kildare. Sunday, April 14th 2024, peacefully at St James’s Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Stephen and Mary Kelly, Cootehill Road, Cavan. Deeply regretted by his brother Seamus, sisters Pat, Stephanie, Honor, Miriam and Olivia, stepmother Mary, brothers in law, sister in law, nieces, nephew, grand nieces and nephews, cousins, all his relatives and his many friends.

Reposing at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd., Cavan (H12C821) on Sunday evening from 5.00, concluding with prayers at 7pm. Removal on Monday morning to St. Brigid’s Church, Killygarry arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.00am. Following Mass, Burial will take place in the Family Plot in the adjoining cemetery.

Anne Smyth

(née Reilly)

Greaghlough, Bailieborough, Cavan / Mullagh, Cavan

The death has occurred of Anne Smyth (née Reilly), Greaghlough, Bailieborough and formerly of Corlatt, Mullagh, Co. Cavan. Unexpectedly but peacefully on the 17th April 2024 at her residence. Predeceased by her husband Tom, sister Helen and her parents Anna May and John.

Sadly missed by her family Dermot (Audrey), Barry (Emer), Patrick (Claire) and Áine (Ciarán), her adored 10 grandchildren Tom, Sam, Anna, Joe, Sarah, Carrie, Ollie, Billy, Lucy and Evie. Her sister Mary Frances and brothers Hugh and Gene, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Reposing at her residence A82HT72 on Saturday, 20th April, from 3pm - 8pm. Funeral on Sunday, 21st April, to arrive at St. Mary's Church, Cross A82 CK73 for Funeral Mass at 10am with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Sr. Sheila Finnegan

St. Louis Convent, Carrickmacross, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Sr. Sheila Finnegan, St. Louis Convent, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, peacefully at Curam Care Nursing Home, Dundalk, Thursday 18th April 2024. Predeceased by her parents Peter and Brigid, her brother Peadar and his wife Sylvia, her nephew John, and her niece Dympna. Deeply regretted and sadly missed with love by her nieces Sheila and Carol-Anne and nephews Peter, Dermot, Paul and Adrian, her St Louis Community and her many friends in Ireland and Nigeria.

Reposing at Deery’s Funeral Home, Carrickmacross (A81 C653), on Saturday afternoon (20th) from 2.30pm, concluding with Evening Prayer at 5pm. Removal from Iona House, Farney Street on Sunday morning at 11.30am, arriving to St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross at 11.50am for Requiem Mass 12noon. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Carrickmacross.

Brendan McKenna

Coolcolid House, Glaslough, Monaghan, H18 EC58

The death has occurred of Brendan McKenna, Coolcolid House, Glaslough, Co. Monaghan, H18 EC58 and The Pillar House, Glaslough, suddenly on Tuesday, 16th April. Pre-deceased by his father Peter, mother Sadie, brothers Laurence & John and daughter Carol Ann.

Brendan will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Josie, sons Declan (Jacqui), Mark, Shane (Sharon), Adrian (Dalia) & Barry (Anna), daughter Charlene (Adam), grandchildren Ryan, Rebecca, Laura, Killian, Mia, Emily, Sarah, Caolán, Cormac, Cailín, Cadhla, Adrianna, Eva, Tilly, Sadie & Martha Josephine, brothers Kieran & Paddy, sisters Mary & Alice, extended family and friends.

Brendan's remains will repose at his residence on Friday from 3pm - 9pm. House private to family and friends at all other times. Funeral Mass on Saturday morning at 11am at St.Patrick's Church, Tyholland. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to The Irish Heart Foundation c/o Peter McMahon, McMahon's Funeral Home, Emyvale or any family member.
