Driver with no docs 'lit up' drug test

A young man arrested at the weekend as thousands of people were attending the Cavan V Tyrone match “lit up” the roadside drug test, with results positive for cocaine, cannabis, opiates, benzos and methamphetamines.

Gardaí had stopped the vehicle after seeing it being “driven erratically” near to Kingspan Breffni last Sunday afternoon, April 21.

Not only was the driver allegedly under the influence of a plethora of drugs, but he also had no driving documents with him.

“The young man had no insurance, no tax or NCT and the roadside drug test lit up - positive for cocaine, cannabis, opiates, benzos and methamphetamines,” said gardaí in a post shared on social media.
