Registration ends for ICOB grant tomorrow
The Minister for Enterprise; Trade and Employment, Peter Burke, has confirmed this week that 325 businesses in Co Cavan (15%) have registered for the Increased Cost of Business (ICOB) grant, which closes for applications tomorrow (Wednesday) May 1.
Almost a third (30%) of businesses in Co Monaghan registered to date; while over a quarter (26%) signed up in Co Leitrim.
The information was imparted following a question by Cavan Monaghan Fianna Fáil TD, Deputy Nianh Smyth.
Minister Burke stated that €257M had been set aside in the Budget for the grant, which he added, “is a vital measure for small and medium businesses”.
Meanwhile, local authorities, funded through the Department will administer the grant to qualifying businesses.
