Frances Clarke

Botanic Avenue, Glasnevin, Dublin / Stradone, Cavan

Frances Clarke, Botanic Avenue, Glasnevin, Dublin and late of Drumrath, Stradone, Co. Cavan. Monday, May 6th, peacefully at Clondalkin Lodge Residential Home. Pre-deceased by her parents Mary and Patrick, sister Patricia and recently by her niece Louise.

Rest in Peace.

Deeply regretted by her brothers Michael, Vincent and Brian, sisters Carmel, Josephine and Joan, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Lakeland's Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan on Wednesday from 6.30pm, concluding with prayers at 8.30pm. Removal on Thursday, to arrive at St. Brigid's Church, Laragh for Funeral Mass at 12noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. You can watch the funeral live here.

Crossagalla, Old Cork Road, Limerick City, Limerick / Arva, Cavan / Longford

Ex Krups Engineering, Limerick and Ferrero, Co Cork.

On May 5th 2024, peacefully, in the loving care of Milford Care Centre, surrounded by his loving family.

Pre-deceased by his parents John and Mary.

Sadly missed by his loving Wife Valerie, daughter Lisa, brother Anthony, sisters Margaret and Mary, nephews, nieces, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at St. Patrick’s Church, Donoghmore (V94 V6T3) on Tuesday, May 7th, from 6pm to 7pm.

Requiem Mass on Wednesday, May 8th, at 11am, funeral afterwards to Mount St. Lawrence (Ext) Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Fergus Rennicks, (father of Paul, Rennick's Memorials, Proudstown Road, Navan), Castle Manor Retirement Village, Co. Cavan and formerly Ardbraccan, Navan, Co. Meath. Peacefully, at Our Lady's Hospital. Predeceased by his wife Christina, sisters Vera, Nancy, Breege and Imelda. He will be sadly missed by his loving sons Conrad and Paul, daughter Caroline, daughters in law Mary and Deirdre, son in law Eddie, grandchildren Amy, Stephen, Karl, Mark, Adam, Ellie and Killian, great-grandchildren Cianan and Niyha, brother Joey, sisters Betty, Jean and Maeve, brothers in law, sisters, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Removal on Wednesday morning at 9.15am, arriving to St. Mary's Church, Navan, C15X0A3, for 10am Funeral Mass, which can be viewed live here. Burial afterwards in St. Mary's Cemetery, Boyne Road, Navan.

Desmond (Dessie) Vaughan

Ernehill, Belturbet, Cavan / Ogonnelloe, Clare

Desmond (Dessie) Vaughan (Retired Garda Siochana), Ernehill, Belturbet, Co. Cavan and formerly, Ogonnelloe, Co. Clare. Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his loving family 6th May 2024. Predeceased by his parents Jimmy and Margaret and brother Pat.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his family, wife Geraldine, daughters Aisling (Jason), Eimear (Martin), sons Rory (Ger), Darragh (Mags), Conor (Louise), Cian (Lynn) grandchildren Ben, Jack, Sarah, Tom, Sadie, Olivia, Seanie and Ollie, sisters Valerie Crowley (Cork), Barbara Lynch, Ogonnelloe, sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.

Dessie will be reposing at Lawlor’s Funeral Home (H14 R583) this Tuesday evening from 6pm until evening prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Belturbet, at 11.30am on Wednesday, 8th May, which can be viewed online here. Cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Rd., Cavan (H12 RF78), which can also be viewed online here.

Patsy Lynch

Main St, Shercock, Cavan

Peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital, after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his daughter Katherina and son Craig. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Ann, sons Gavin (Olivia), Donal and Richard (Darina), daughters Sharon, Joanna (Seamus), Niamh (Ollie), brother, Micheal, sister Margaret, nephews and nieces, his 18 grandchildren to whom he was affectionately known as Happy.

Reposing at his residence on Monday from 1pm until 8pm. Removal on Tuesday morning to arrive at St Patrick's Church, Shercock, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family time on Tuesday morning, please.

Mary Quigley

(née Cummins)

Behey, Stradone, Cavan / Wexford

Mary Quigley née Cummins, Stradone, Co Cavan and formerly Ramsgrange and Taghmon Co, Wexford died on the 03rd May 2024 peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her parents, daughter Genny, son Conor, brother Pat & sister Joann.

Dearly missed and fondly remembered by her sons Paul & John, sisters Lou & Genny, brother John, dear friend Steve, grandchildren, great grandchild, cousins, neighbours and friends.

A funeral service for Mary’s family and friends will take place on Monday 6th May at 4pm in Lakeland's Funeral Home & Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan, followed by cremation. House strictly private at all times please.

A memorial mass will take place at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Duncannon, Co. Wexford, at a later date.

Fr. Matthew Street, Tipperary Town and formerly of Mc Curtin Street, Clones, Co. Monaghan. Peacefully in the wonderful care of Moorehall Lodge Nursing Home surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Frances, brothers Patrick and Tony and sister Mary. Sadly missed by his loving family, sons Richard, Pat, Troy, John and Jason and their mother Teresa. Jack will be deeply missed by his brother Joe, sisters Kathleen and Eileen, sisters in law, daughters in law, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, nephews, nieces, relatives, carers, neighbours and many friends.

The death has occurred of Mary (May) Rooney Née Brennan of Muff, Inniskeen in her 93rd year on Sunday the 5th of May, peacefully at her daughter Bridget's residence surrounded by loving family.

Mary, predeceased by her beloved husband Matt (Matthew) Rooney, son Matthew and parents Thomas and Mary Brennan. Much loved mother of Brendan, Daigh (Antoinette), Mary (PJ), Tommy (Clare), Bridget (Micheal), Monica (Philip), Tracey (Patrick) and Denis. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her fourteen grandchildren, neighbours and friends.

Mary will repose at Magee’s Funeral Home, Glebe, Inniskeen, tomorrow, Monday the 6th of May from 2pm until 6.30pm. Removal Monday evening to The Church of Mary Mother of Mercy, Inniskeen, arriving for 7pm. Funeral Mass in the Church of Mary Mother of Mercy, Inniskeen on Tuesday the 7th of May at 11am. Burial afterwards in St Mary's Cemetery, Inniskeen.
