Building strong communities

As Christmas approaches, I want to extend warm wishes to everyone across County Cavan. This season reminds us of the importance of family, community, and kindness. I am proud to be from a county that places community at the heart of everything it does.

Tá mé iontach bródúil as mo cheantar dúchais, An Cabhán, contae ina bhfuil pobal na háite mar chroílár gach rud. D'obair mé go crua ar son an phobail le linn 2025 agus táim an-bhuíoch de mhuintir an Chabháin as ucht an tacaíochta uilig.

Throughout 2025, I have worked hard to represent your concerns and deliver real progress. I have championed better supports for people with disabilities, fought for improved public transport services, and pressed for fair access to education for every child.

I have also continued to advocate for housing solutions and stronger community resources, ensuring that no one is left behind.

These efforts reflect my commitment to building a future where every person in Cavan has the opportunity to thrive.

In the year ahead, I will keep working on improving local services and addressing the issues that matter most to you.

As we celebrate, let us also remember those who may be struggling.

A simple act of kindness can make a big difference - whether that’s donating to a local charity or fundraiser or visiting someone who might be lonely or afraid to ask for help.

Together, we can make sure that no one feels forgotten this Christmas.

Looking forward, we can face 2026 with hope and determination.

By working together, supporting one another, and continuing to build strong communities, we can create a brighter future for all.

I wish you and your loved ones a peaceful Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year.

Go raibh Nollaig mhór mhaith agatsa agus ag do chlann. Go mbeirimid beo ar an am seo arís!
