Loud and Proud
CAF Review: Lost Action Zero & Bold Boy
Lost Action Zero are loud. Unapologetically loud. The kind of loud that rattles your ribs and makes conversation with anyone standing a step over entirely redundant. But beneath the wall of noise sits something precise. There's swagger and the unmistakable thrill of a band discovering its own power in real time.
The five-piece Cavan outfit only formed in 2025, but their stage debut at the Big Top tent on Saturday felt anything but tentative. There was sweat, distortion and enough raw energy to power half the county.
They followed Bold Boy- the ever-inventive brainchild of Mike Paterson and Nathan Merriman- who delivered their usual blend of off-kilter charm and musical mischief with effortless confidence.
Between them, it made for one of those festival afternoons where discovery and delight collided at full volume. SE.
