Minister for Housing visits Cavan
Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage James Browne TD is in Cavan this afternoon (Friday, May 29) to visit and open a number of housing developments across the county.
The Minister started his tour in Belturbet, where he visited nine social homes that are under construction on Widow's Row and opened the redevelopment of the former Duckin' Stool pub into three social homes.
He then made his way towards Cavan town, where he visited Fort View in Drumlark and Gort na Carraige on the Cootehill Road, which are both a mix of private, social and affordable housing. He then opened twenty social homes under phase one on St Brigid's Terrace.
His visit will conclude with the official opening of Ballyjamesduff Fire Station later this afternoon.
