Students Liam O'Hara and Róisín Grant received the overall Student of the Year and Spirit of Mercy awards.

Cnoc Mhuire Granard celebrates students

A number of sixth year students from Cnoc Mhuire Granard were recognised for their outstanding contribution throughout their time in school at their recent graduation ceremony.

Liam O'Hara was awarded Student of the Year for the exceptional kindness, compassion and respect he has shown towards staff and students over the past six years.

"His caring nature, positive attitude, and willingness to support others have made a lasting impression on the CMG school community," a spokesperson from Cnoc Mhuire Granard said.

"Liam has been a wonderful role model throughout his time in Cnoc Mhuire, always leading by example with warmth, and consideration for others. His contribution to school life and the friendships he has built along the way reflect the very best of what our school stands for. Congratulations Liam on this very well deserved honour, and we wish you every success and happiness in the future."

Roisin Grant received the Spirit of Mercy Award, a special award which recognises a student who truly embodies the core values of the Mercy tradition through kindness, compassion, service, respect and care for others.

"Throughout her time in Cnoc Mhuire, Roisin has consistently demonstrated these qualities in the way she supports and encourages those around her. Congratulations Roisin on this wonderful achievement, and we wish you every happiness and success in the future."

Students of the Class were named as Chantel Higgins (6.0), Shauna McCormack (6.1), Kayla Masterson (6.2) and Owen Galvin (LCA).
