Grattans too good for Corduff
Corduff 1-8 Inniskeen 2-23
By Niall Keenan.
Inniskeen Grattans made it two wins from two in Group 1 of the Senior Football Championship with a resounding 2-23 to 1-8 victory away to Corduff on Saturday evening.
Despite a 20th-minute goal from Corduff’s Sean Burns, the Grattans held a 0-8 to 1-3 advantage at half-time.
Inniskeen’s Shane Hanratty found the net shortly after the restart and the 2025 SFC runners-up led 1-15 to 1-6 by the time Dylan McEnaney was shown a straight red card for Corduff midway through the second half.
Captain Sean Jones kicked a classy two-pointer before the recently returned Ciaran McNulty rounded off the scoring with a well-taken goal to cap an impressive display from John McEntee’s side.
After overcoming Latton in their opening game, Inniskeen travelled to Corduff, who were last in action in the Senior League relegation play-off against Cremartin, having been idle during the first week of Championship action.
