Three children and two adults hospitalised after Castleblayney collision

The occupants of two vehicles involved in a collision outside Castleblayney earlier today were all transported to hospital for treatment of injuries.

The collision involved a van and a car and occurred shortly after 3pm.

"The occupants of both vehicles, a man aged in his 20s, a woman aged in her 70s, and three female juvenile children, were all transported to hospital for treatment of injuries," a garda spokesperson stated.

"Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the N53 in, Castleblayney, Co Monaghan, this afternoon, Sunday 13th September 2026," they said.
