Templeport book place in Junior final

Templeport have booked their place in the Junior Football Championship with a surprise win over Kill Shamrocks.

In a low scoring encounter St Aidan's beat Kill 1-12 to 1-09, with Conor Fahy's goal the difference. The teenager is part of a talented crop of minors to have energised Templeport's championship credentials.

The result will be a disappointment for Kill who, having reached last year's final had realistic hopes of claiming this year's Sean Leddy Cup.

Templeport will now face the winners of today's semi-final between Lacken and Belturbet Rories in Kingspan Breffni. Throw-in for that game is at 2pm.
