Peace Campus seeks operator for new café
Monaghan County Council has launched a tender for an operator to run the café at Monaghan Peace Campus, with the five-year contract aimed at establishing a full food and beverage service within the multi-use civic facility.
The café is intended to operate as a social enterprise, while providing an accessible hospitality space for staff, service users, visitors and people attending events at the campus.
According to the tender documentation, the facility attracted 128,068 visitors during 2025 and hosts more than 600 events and programmed activities annually. Attendance regularly exceeds 400 people per week.
The successful operator will be expected to provide high-quality food and beverages while aligning the service with the campus's values of community engagement, sustainability, quality and value for money. Collaboration with other services and stakeholders based at the facility will also form part of the café's role.
The campus currently does not operate a full café, with previous food and beverage activity limited primarily to external catering and an on-site barista bar.
The contract will be awarded using the Most Economically Advantageous Tender (MEAT) criterion.
Tenders must be submitted by October 15.
