A fantastic turnout of 120 women in business gathered at Farnham Estate Spa & Golf Resort yesterday (Thursday, October 15) to celebrate the 20th anniversary of National Women’s Enterprise Day.
Hosted by Local Enterprise Office Cavan, in association with Cavan Women in Business Network, the event celebrated female entrepreneurship under the theme “Her Enterprise, Her Impact – Making it Happen – Cavan 2026.”
Keynote speaker Regina Bushell, Founder and Managing Director of Grovelands Childcare, captivated the audience with her inspiring entrepreneurial journey, receiving a standing ovation following her address.
Stephanie Leonard, CEO of Kyte Powertech, and Sandra Thompson, Co-Founder of I/O Agri, shared their experiences during an engaging panel discussion, combining valuable business insights, personal experiences and plenty of humour.
Minister of State Niamh Smyth TD officially opened the event, while Cllr Carmel Brady, Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council, also addressed attendees.
Conor Craven, Head of Enterprise at Local Enterprise Office Cavan, hosted the event and highlighted the range of supports available to women in business through the Local Enterprise Office.
Margaret McKeon-Boyle of Extensive PR, Coordinator of Cavan Women in Business Network, was MC for the evening and facilitated the panel discussion.
The hugely successful celebration concluded with networking, refreshments and a wonderful sense of camaraderie among Cavan’s businesswomen.
