Under new ownership since July 1, Brady's Autoparc is continuing the longstanding Ford presence in Cavan and surrounding areas.

"We have a wide selection of used vehicles small, medium and large," Car Sales Manager Peter Gallagher told the Celt.

Meanwhile, when it comes to their non-commercial range, he described the Ford Kuga as the "hidden gem" of plug-in hybrid vehicles.

"From an economy point of view, people don't realise how economical the Kuga is," he believes.

"A lot of people see the engine size, which is 2.5 litres but, being a plug-in hybrid, it is easily doing well over 60 miles to the gallon."

Meanwhile, the battery-only distance of 50km means those travelling short distances may not need to refuel at all with petrol or diesel.

Peter said electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles is the route "everybody is looking at now".

"Diesel is becoming less popular," he added, which he puts down to a combination of fuel costs and people being "more environmentally aware".

Business as usual

Despite the change in ownership, Peter described how it is business as usual at Brady's Autoparc with the "same faces" on hand to look after customers.

"The quality and service at Ford remains the same," he assured.

"Ford is a long established brand in Cavan and it will be here for a long time yet."

271 Season

Meanwhile, Brady's Autoparc is already taking orders for brand new 271 vehicles and are "looking forward" to a "busy" 2027.
