The death has occurred of Tony Higgins, 64 Kilnavara Heights Cavan Town Friday July 4th. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of Cavan General Hospital. Pre-deceased by his parents Paddy and Bridie, brothers Paddy and Martin, sisters Marie and Brenda. Sadly missed by his son Daniel, brothers J.J., Gerard and Paul, sisters Angela and Teresa, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours & friends.

Reposing at his home (64. Kilnavara Heights, Cavan), from 4pm to 8pm Saturday and from 5pm to 8pm, Sunday.

Removal on Monday, 7th of July, at 11.00am, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11.30am in the Cathedral of SS Patrick and Felim Cavan, removal afterwards to Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan, Followed by Cremation.

Dr. Eamonn C.J. McDwyer

Swarra House, Cullies, Cavan

The death has occurred of Dr.Eamonn C.J. McDwyer, Swarra House, Cullies, Cavan, Thursday July 3rd, 2025, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Peter and Ena McDwyer, his daughter Karen and her mother Mairlis, brothers Damien and Ray and his son in law Rory O Sullivan.

Eamonn will be very sadly missed by his loving wife and best friend Anna, his children Paula (Stephen Hughes), Eamon (Mary Hyland), Verna (Joey Mills), Rachel (Gerry Coyle) and Leah O Sullivan, his step-daughter Lisa Quinn, his adored grandchildren Caoimhe, Laura, Stephen, Ellen, Carina, Emma, Jessica, Mark, Josh, Dillon and Naoise, brothers Tommy and Denis, sisters Patricia Pidcock, Keyna McEvoy and Noleen Archer, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, all his extended family and a wide circle of friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12C821) on Saturday evening from 4pm until 7pm. Removal from his home on Sunday at 1pm travelling to the Cathedral of S.s Patrick and Felim, Cavan, arriving for a Funeral Mass at 1.30pm. Following Mass the cortege will travel via Main St to Lakelands Crematorium for committal Prayers and cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Saint Vincent De Paul Society c/o Mc Mahon Funeral Directors, Farnham Rd, Cavan or donation box in the Funeral Home.

(née Hetherton)

Carrick Eighter, Virginia, Cavan

Bridget (nee Hetherton) Tighe , Carrick, Eighter, Virginia, Cavan. Died peacefully on 3rd July 2025 at the age of 91 years young.

Predeceased by her husband Vincent, son Martin, granddaughter Rebecca, brother Bill, and parents Moria and Tommy Hetherton.

Bridget will be very dearly missed by her daughter Eileen, son in-law Paul, brothers Eddie and Donny, her grandchildren Matthew, Francessca , Liam, Austin and Lewis, great-grandchildren Summer, Amelia and Naomi, brother in-laws , sister inlaws, neice, nephew and her great neighbours and lifelong friends

Bridget will be reposing at O'Dwyers Funeral Home Ryefield, Virginia (A82C2N6) this Sunday evening from 5 to 7pm.

Funeral Mass this Monday at 11am in St. Bartholomews Church, Munterconnaght with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Emma Kendrick

Peacefully at home surrounded by her devoted family.

Emma beloved wife of the late Cecil and much loved mother and mother in law of Liz (Mehaul) Ron (Diane) Alan , Ann (Trevor)and Sharon (Geoffrey),

Dear sister of Maggie and June and cherished Granny to all her grandchildren and great grandchildren .

Emma's funeral service will take place on Monday the 7 th July at 2 pm in St Salvators church Glaslough with burial afterwards in the Caledon Road Graveyard Glaslough.

Everyone is welcome to call and see the family on Sunday 6th July from 2pm to 8pm in the home of Ron and Diane Main Street Glaslough .

(née Finnegan)

Derryilan, Broomfield, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Mary (Mollie) McCafferey née Finnegan, Derryilan, Broomfield, Co Monaghan, Friday 4th July peacefully surrounded by her family in the loving care of the staff of Daisy Hill Hospital, Newry.

Predeceased by her husband Tommy and sisters Alice (O'Friel) and Lily Finnegan, brothers-in-law Charlie O'Friel and Pat Cassidy. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sister Bridie, nephew Cathal, niece in law Joanne, and grand niece Allannah, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and many friends.

May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace

Mollie will be reposing at Broomfield community rooms (rear of Church) on Saturday afternoon from 2.30pm - 8.30pm.

Removal on Sunday for requiem Mass at 11.30am to Saint Patrick's Church, Broomfield. Internment afterwards in adjoining cemetery alongside her beloved husband Tommy, her mother Mary and sister Lily.
