Sean Gallagher

1 Railway Road, Killeshandra, Cavan

Sean Gallagher, 1 Railway Road, Killeshandra, Co. Cavan, 29th July 2025, peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of Oakview Private Nursing Home, Belturbet, Co. Cavan. Surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his wife Marie, parents Patrick and Margaret, brother Eamon and sister Madge.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving daughters Patricia (Paul Madden), Carmel (Roland Smith), sister Mary, brothers Pat, Tony and Noel, grandchildren Louise, Laura, Eoin, Katie and Jack, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May He Rest in Peace.

Sean will be reposing on Wednesday evening 30th July in Lawlor’s Funeral Home, Belturbet, (H14 R583) from 6pm to 8pm followed by prayers. Funeral mass on Thursday morning 31st July at 11am in St. Brigid’s Church, Killeshandra with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Teresa Maguire

Hillside drive, Mullingar, Westmeath / Arva, Cavan

The death has occurred of Teresa Maguire, Hillside Drive, Mullingar and late of Cordownan, Arva, Co Cavan. Tuesday 29th July, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar, surrounded by her loving family.

Sadly missed by her loving sisters Helen Clarke and Ann McDonald, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home, College Street, Mullingar, (N91 K660) on Thursday July 31st from 3 pm with prayers at 5 pm.

Requiem Mass on Saturday at 12.00 noon in the Church of the Immaculate Conception Coronea, Arva, Co Cavan, followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan.

Patrick Broe

Drumgur, Stradone, Cavan

The death has occurred of Patrick (Paddy) Broe, Sheelin Nursing Home, Mountnugent and formerly Drumgur, Stradone, Co. Cavan, on Monday 28th July, 2025, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Seán and Bridget (née Gillick), and his sister Dympna.

Paddy will be deeply regretted and dearly missed by his loving wife Emily, children, Seán (Carley), Patrick (Mey), and Thomas, sister Nancy Houlihan, nieces Lorraine and Deirdre and nephew Peter, grandchildren Damien, Erin, Margo, Amelia, Lucy, and Claire. He will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan H12 RF78 on Wednesday 30th July from 6.00pm until 8.00pm. A celebration of Paddy’s life will be held in Lakelands Funeral Home on Thursday 31st July at 11.00am, followed by cremation.

Thomas (Tommy) Murphy

Togher, Crosskeys, Cavan

Thomas (Tommy) Murphy (28th July 2025) (Togher, Crosskeys, Cavan) peacefully in the tender care of the doctors and nurses in Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Reunited in heaven with his parents Annie and Owen, sisters Beatrice, Kitty and Patricia and brother Eugene. Tommy will be sadly missed by his wife Norie, sister Alice (McKenna) and brother John. Tommy's quick wit and sense of humour will be fondly remembered by all who knew him, especially his lovingly devoted nieces Michelle and Aine, nephew Ian, good friend and neighbour John, many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews, sister-in-law, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Shannon Watson

Church View, Ballyhaise, Cavan

The death has occurred of Shannon Watson, Church View, Ballyhaise, Co. Cavan, Saturday July 26th, suddenly but peacefully in her sleep, to the inexplicable grief of her mother Martina, dad Alex and his wife Janice, Brothers Dwyane (Shauna O'Reilly) and Aaron (Caoimhe) her partner Eoin Mahon, and nephew Noah.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, tomorrow Tuesday from 4.00pm until 8.00pm. Removal from her home on Wednesday morning at 10.30am to St Mary's Church, Ballyhaise, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Interment afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Castletara.

Patrick McGee

Cavanageeragh, Carrickmacross, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Patrick McGee. Ealing, London, England and formerly Cavanageeragh, Carrickmacross.1st July 2025, peacefully in England.

Predeceased by his wife Rose, his parents James & Mary and his sisters Kathleen, Anne, Maureen and Elizabeth.

Sadly missed and remembered by his family in England; children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, his sister Teresa, his nephews, nieces, and friends.

Patrick will repose at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 D328, on Friday, 1st August, from 5pm until 7pm.

Patrick's funeral cortège will leave the Funeral Home on Saturday, 2nd August, driving to St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Peacefully passed away in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda, Tuesday 29th July, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Predeceased by his parents, John and Bridget,

Sean will be deeply missed by his wife Rosaleen and children Gary (Fiona), John (Amanda), Pauline (Barry), Geraldine (Barry O'Neill, Corrintra, Castleblayney), as well as his cherished grandchildren Ben, Rebecca, Jake, Ali, Micheala, Luka, Charlie, his sister Kathleen Leonard, brother-in- law Seamus Hughes, his nieces, nephews, wider family members, neighbours and all who knew and loved him.

North Richmond Street, Dublin / Scotstown, Monaghan

Hegarty, Br. Patrick (Christian Brothers, late of Scotstown, Co. Monaghan and O’Connell's School, North Richmond Street) on 27th July, 2025 (peacefully) at St. Michael’s Hospital, Dún Laoghaire, surrounded by his loving family. Son of the late John and Annie and brother of the late Sean. Sadly missed by his loving sister Marie, sister-in-law Bernadette, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews, his Brothers in Religion, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred David Rogers Carnalogue, Louth Village and late of 24 Dunard, 26 JULY 2025 peacefully in the tender care of the staff of of Our Lady of Lourdes hospital Drogheda.

David dear son of Seán and late Margaret, beloved partner of Margaret much loved father of Lizzy, Sadly missed and remembered with love by his brother of Bernie (Joel) Kevin (Laura) and predeceased by his brother Shane, nieces Aoife, Sienna, Colleen, neighbours and wider family circle.

Reposing at MAGEE Funeral home Inniskeen, Co. Monaghan Tuesday afternoon 29th of July from 4 pm until 9 pm and again Wednesday from 4 pm until 9pm removal Thursday 31st at 10.30am to Church of Mary Mother of Mercy, Inniskeen arriving for 11am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Inniskeen.
