From kind of “being into computers” to owning the first computer shop in Ireland to become WISE certified was an unexpected path, but not undeserved. A former graduate of Cavan Institute, Cian Donohoe began his journey by working in click.ie in Cavan while studying. There he learned his skill - fixing phones and laptops: “One thing led to another, and doors opened to opportunities.”

In 2017, he founded Cian’s Tech World with a simple idea: to provide expert, reliable tech support and to be a trusted part of the community.

With now 15 years of experience in the field, Cian Donohoe is proud to be the first in Ireland with the qualification recognised by major tech companies such as Apple, Samsung, Motorola and Google. “It’s just to show a level of trust to people.”

In 2023, that dedication was recognised on a global scale when he won the WISE ‘Best in Customer Service’ award, competing against the best in the entire North American and Canadian markets.

However, the most important numbers, he says, aren’t on a certificate: “They’re in the feedback from our community. We’ve served over 2,500 happy clients and maintain a 99.9% satisfaction rate across our reviews on platforms like Google, Trustpilot and Facebook.”

This trust is resonated in The Anglo-Celt Awards with a nomination for excellence in customer service. The key to Cian’s success? “It’s about getting to know our customers by name, understanding their problems, and making sure they leave with a smile.”

Cian emphasises: “We don’t just fix devices; we solve problems for people. When a customer walks in with a broken screen, they’re entrusting us with their connection to family, their work, their photos. They are entrusting us with something important, and we treat it that way, with respect and urgency.”

They endeavour to repair devices while you wait.

Cian’s Tech World also offers pre-owned phones with all the original parts, laptop services with basic cleanups, malware removal or a full internal refresh, battery replacement as well as gaming gear repair. Responding to people’s demands and “caring for our customers is a recipe for success”.
