HSE submits plans for new laboratory extension

The Health Service Executive has submitted plans to build a new modular laboratory extension at Cavan General Hospital.

The project involves constructing an additional single-storey structure at first-floor level, connecting to the existing modular laboratory and integrating with current hospital services.

A decision is due on November 27.

Separately, the HSE has also submitted plans to demolish an existing modular training building and construct a new single-storey modular facility on the outskirts of Cavan Town.

The proposed development at Rathcorick and Corglass, includes the replacement of the site’s waste treatment system and percolation area, along with associated site and ancillary works.

A decision is due on December 18.
