The death has occurred of Philomena Duffy (nee Yore), Whitegate, Edenburt, Virginia, Co.Cavan and late of Carnaross, Co. Meath, at Sheelin Nursing Home, Mountnugent on November 27th 2025. Predeceased by her husband Eddie, her parents, brothers and sisters. Deeply regretted by her children Francis, Majella, Eamon and Brian, her beloved grandchildren Ellen, Eve, John, Noah, Sorcha, Cara, Lucy and Matt, her daughters in law Maria, Lorraine and Jennifer, her son in law Michael, her brothers Kieran (Carnaross) and Vincent (Carnaross),her brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
Rest In Peace
Reposing at Matthews Funeral Home, Bailieborough Road, Virginia (A82YV58) on Friday evening from 5 o'clock until prayers at 8 o'clock. The funeral cortege will depart her son Eamon's home on Saturday morning at 10.40am via Whitegate Cross to arrive to St. Matthew's Church, Maghera for 11 o’clock Funeral Mass. Burial in the adjoining cemetery.
Philomena's family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care and dedication of all who looked after Philomena in Sheelin Nursing Home in Mountnugent as your exceptional care and attention to Philomena will never be forgotten.

Kathleen Lagarde
(née Doyle)
Enaghan, Aughnacliffe, Longford / Arva, Cavan
Kathleen Lagarde, née Doyle, Culemborg, Netherlands and formerly Enaghan, Co Longford, Monday November 24th in the Netherlands. Pre-deceased by her parents Brian and Mary Anne Doyle, sister Siobhán, brothers Liam, Seamus and Michael. Kathleen will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughter Sabrina (Chris), son Andrew (Laura), their father Bert, her adored grandchildren, Quinn and Kian, brothers Noel (Kathleen) and Vincent, sisters Bridie (Randolph Applewhaite, England), Mary (Mick Flavin Drumlish), Claire (Dessie Ronan, Cavan), Bernadette (Frank Meaney U S.A), Teresa (Pat Finnegan, Cavan), Carmel (Sean Duffy, Legga) and Martina (Peter Donohoe, Dromard), nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and many friends.
Funeral will take place on Tuesday December 2nd, in Culemborg, Netherlands at 10.00am (9.00am Irish time), followed by cremation. Funeral will be live streamed here.

Clerkin Funeral Directors regret to share the news of the young and sudden death of James Hagan Mullaghmatt, Monaghan Town whilst solo travelling overseas.
James is predeceased by his infant sisters Emily and Ailson.
James will be eternally missed by his heartbroken parents Leo and Jenny, his sister Leonia, his brothers Raymond, Luke and his niece Caitlin.
His large circle of friends, neighbours and friends will always fondly and remember James with love.

James will repose privately at his home, 61 Mullaghmatt, Monaghan with his family and close friends. James funeral procession will leave his family home on Saturday at 1:30pm to arrive to Clerkins Funeral Home, Milltown for a Funeral service at 2pm, followed by burial in Laturcan cemetery.

The death has occurred of Kathleen Hughes (née Mc Donnell, Retired Public Health Nurse) Annaglough, Annyalla, Castleblayney, Co.Monaghan on Wednesday November 26th, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by her family.
Predeceased by her husband Frank, parents Big Mick and Mary Ellen, brothers and sisters.
Kathleen, deeply regretted and remembered with love by her heartbroken family, sons Francis and Patrick (Fiona), daughter Tess, her two cherished grandchildren Andrea and Frank, nieces, nephews, neighbours, extended family and many good friends.

Kathleen will repose at Wards Funeral Home, Castleblayney (A75NP30) tomorrow Friday from 3pm until 5:45pm. Removal from the funeral home at 6:15pm proceeding on foot to arrive at St.Mary’s Church, Castleblayney for reception prayers at 6:30pm. Funeral mass on Saturday morning at 10am followed by burial in St.Michael’s Cemetery, Annyalla.

We are saddened to announce the death of Margaret Ward, Rarutra, Emyvale, Co.Monaghan. Thursday 27th November peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.
Pre-deceased by her parents Michael & Catherine Ward, sisters Sr. Helen Ward & Kathleen Gray, brother Pat, brother in law John Smyth and sister in law Sheila Ward.
Margaret will be sadly missed by her sister Bridie Smyth, brother Genie, brother in law Eddie Gray, nieces Diane, Evelyn, Helen, Frances, Joanne & Edel, nephews Sean, Oliver, Fergal, Edward & Aidan, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Margaret's remains will repose at McMahon's Funeral Home, Emyvale, H18 FK80 on Saturday from 5pm - 8pm. Removal on Sunday morning at 10.15am travelling via Margaret's Home in Rarutra to arrive at St.Patrick's Church, Corracrin for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
